As any recent PvP player knows, PvP has been in a terrible state and simply unfun for several weeks now. Prismatic hunters have been a nuisance, stacks, and lobby balancing have been horribly unbalanced, and the meta is getting quite stale. There is, however, a light at the end of the tunnel, 8v8 sparrow control. This was in crucible labs for the past week and it was where I spent most of my time. This mode felt great. This is not necessarily for the 8v8 or the sparrows, but because it uses pure CBMM. The matches actually feel fun to play. You can use a diverse loadout without needing to use the best stuff all the time. There are a lot more opportunities to take risks and make fun or goofy plays that shouldn't work but somehow end up working. Anytime people bring up CBMM, the first thing people say is that you just want to stomp a new player. This is not true. With CBMM you have a large variety of players rather than just the high or just the low. I did great in some matches and got my rear handed to me in others. I just want PvP to be fun again like in the old days. With SBMM (especially recently) most games are a sweat fest. If someone gets over 25 kills they did good. Team shooting is abysmal and no one wants to take any risks. (especially with the body shot nerf and special ammo changes) You know how sometimes at work or school a class gets canceled, a teacher doesn't show up and there is a sub, a meeting gets postponed, an event gets rained out, you have a couple of snow days, etc. Just imagine how annoying school or work would be if none of that ever happened at all. That is what the crucible feels like with SBMM in control. 8v8 Sparrow control felt like a breath of fresh air again. I know you love to experiment Bungie so why not try it? Make all quickplay playlists have pure CBMM for the last few weeks of the episode. What have you got to lose? I will remind you that every time you have switched to CBMM player counts have risen dramatically. Just my opinion as a long-time PvP veteran. Let me know what you guys think.

Numbers do rise and then a week later they drop just the same just like Everytime. You almost had it till you said you couldn't play your way under sbmm, lies, you can play your way under sbmm just like cbmm. The difference being you matching players you can stomp vs the players who can match you. Should cbmm be in the game sure but in its own mode and so long as there is another mode to match it as sbmm. L

CBMM because try hards don’t want to play against each other. Instead they want easy kills against lesser players. It’s not about lag or any other BS. It’s about easy kills.
-
2 RepliesBump. SBMM in Destiny = too much lag.
-
BAD INTERNET CONNECTIONS DISSAGREE WITH YOU 😉
-
The Problem with sbmm is the lag, to make fair matches, they put you against players from the other side of the world, why you must ask, because the population of players are at a all time low, plus people using Devices you must know, X, Ch, crucibe is amazing when you used to play with players just like you without cheats, you won or lost by 2 points etc, these days are long gone.

Connection based matchmaking? McDonalds wifi, here I come, lol

6 RepliesXdefiant is the example developers will use on why cbmm won't work. Just saying, the game actually buffed Activision sbmm argument. Players everywhere praised cbmm Xdefiant, it's the best thing ever, cod is dead Yada Yada. Well Xdefiant might be shutting service down because nobody wants to play.

2 RepliesDon’t know where you have been but sbmm is long gone. Are you saying you want to get rid of outlier protection?

2 RepliesEdited by JocyBossy: 9/3/2024 9:10:02 PMHutch destroys every thought against SBMM & they reason why it's hated by the loud top 5% of players. here he is destroying BlameTruth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HbhaOw4EyI

Sbmm is much better for game health
-
5 RepliesNope, the age of losers like u stomping on noobs is over

1 ReplyWhen I make a post like this, everyone comes at me with rage and anger. So I am glad people agree in comments. Yes, Cbmm needs to come back and stay in all Playlist. Sbmm has cheaters and lag all the time. Lobby balance and cbmm needs an immediate return and ir should stay in all Playlist.

I love how the forums are more active than the lobbies.

Would be nice

1 ReplyEdited by I am kevin: 9/4/2024 9:20:05 AMThere is just a reddit article that’s is asking for more strickt sbmm in each playlist. Even trials this due to the fact that since they when more towards open lobby’s and trials without flawless pool player decline has become much worse. I’ll like the article https://www.reddit.com/r/CrucibleGuidebook/s/fayXKtS9ND

If it’s CBMM solo’s only then I’m all for it.
-
Pvp is horrible but i still have fun, at times. Might be the only thing keeping me playing.
-
4 RepliesCBMM is great for those in the top 25% of skill. It craps on everyone else.

Do you know what a paragraph is?

I swear we go through this same cycle every year
