Either that or preferably just scale the game to the number of players. It's most applicable in the 1 to 3 player activities and Dungeons.
[b]- - Difficulty should be available for everyone to choose rather than artificially set by fireteam size.[/b]
- Extra challenge should therefore be available for pairs and threes - it shouldn't require booting team members to increase the challenge.
- A normal level of difficulty should be available for soloplaying and pairs, without being forced to play a defacto challenge mode every time.
[b]- - Rewards should scale and be appropriate to that set difficulty.[/b]
- A cheap emblem graphic, that took 5 minutes in Photoshop, isn't an appropriate level of reward for something of E.g. triple difficulty.
- Easier difficulty selection means less and/or inferior rewards, greater difficulty selection means more and/or superior rewards.
These are the principles all games benefit from.
Bungie has made a conscious decision to restrict solo players as a policy during final shape.
Guardian ranks, Microcosm and ECI all with artificial gatekeeping specifically to curtail the activities of solo players. This is probably the thin end of the wedge and probably why the concurrent numbers have been plummeting.
My point to you is that in this environment, it is unlikely that they will wake up one day and say "Let's make Solo Operative a permanent option!"
They are far more likely to come up with a Group Operative automated buff.
I don't know why they make these types of decisions but it will be interesting to see if there is any tacit acknowledgement of the harm they have done to the game, when the next round of layoffs are announced.
Even their prized streamers are now trying many other games as a lifeboat.
Many of the solo players players who got screwed are still around with limited engagement because they paid for the year (Me until Black Myth Wukong drops)

In crucible yesterday one player with a 17.0 threw unlimited Nova bombs and was using their heavy as a primary.
The Pale Heart has probably run its course with most of us who are left
Marathon will inevitably take precedence next year as nobody has paid for it yet, so any Destiny 2 content will be an afterthought.

Maybe the real SOLO Operative buff is one we give ourselves by ****ing off and playing something else. As you said.....It's not that hard.

Solo operative was one of the best ideas last season and as you said should be permanently active if you play solo. No additional mod slotting, you just deal more dmg as soon as you aren't in a fireteam.
Your role as a moderator enables you immediately ban this user from messaging (bypassing the report queue) if you select a punishment.
