Yeah, because those are limited-time things. Only one pass is active at any given time and once it's over, it's gone forever.
Did you seriously not know this when you paid for them? If you buy an annual pass, stop playing for the first 6 months of the time period you paid for, then come back for the 3rd pass, no duh you can't access the first 2, you didn't play during their uptime.
The Destiny 2 Season Pass system is nothing new, so how is this your first time realizing they go away when their time runs out?
Why would you pay for passes you aren't going to play?

Yes they should have been there… But I really don’t understand everyone who is like 🤷🏼♂️ sucks to suck. It’s a good suggestion, there’s really no downside for anyone to implement this and would be a big quality of life upgrade (not to mention keeping people grinding for long because they have more levels they need to hit) 343 implemented this with halo so it’s 100% possible (and come on, it’s 343 does anyone really wanna be shown up by those guys on something?)

It's less so "no, bad idea, suffer" and more so "Yeah that'd be nice but they're not going to do it and this is the same model they've used for years, so why are you JUST NOW complaining about it, and why did you intentionally abandon the game during seasons you pre-paid for?" OP specifically is in the wrong here for choosing to pre-pay for multiple seasons in a row, then abandoning the game as if the passes would still be there 6 months later when the seasons have ALWAYS lasted 3 months each (except a couple that got extended for DLC delays) Like, the idea of retaining past seasons is good, but Bungie won't do it, everyone KNOWS that Bungie won't do it, and OP actively chose not to play during seasons they already bought, so OP is 100% in the wrong here for getting upset over something they have been aware of for a very long time without issue until now.
