Update the shaders to reverse the colors on the armor, weapons, ghostshells, ships, sparrows and the icon, do you really care about the shader icon they could of done that years ago why now. pointless and the super black shader has white in it.

2 RepliesThey never will but they should honestly redo the entire shader system. Everything would work better if shaders were used as a color palate set. By this I mean, once you unlock a shader, you unlock all those colors and material textures that are in it. These being added to a list similar to the current shaders but seperated into the individual colors or materials. Which can then be selected and applied in whatever combo you like.

1 ReplyThe icons are not much of the problem is the colours they make, besides the ones we have, we need colours like super black only all red or all yellow etc
do you really care about the shader icon
Not really.
they could of done that years ago
While that might be true, they might have felt there were other QoL changes that were higher in priority.
the super black shader has white in it.
Have to like that you close out on the very issue on why they are redoing the shader icon.. The shaders in Destiny 2 have always had more than just the 4 colors shown in the icon and with this change, they are trying to present a better representation of the full spectrum of colors found in any given shader. The first one that I'm going to check out once this change goes live is Jacarina since this perhaps the worst culprit where the 4 colors shown on the icon is not remotely accurate to what colors are actually in the shader.
