Opinions on weapon shaping.
Would you guys like to see more freedom when it comes to shaping? More patterns to farm, like dungeon and regular loot pool weapons? The decision to severely limit whats possible with shaping confuses me. Why not let us shape weapons with master works? Why not let us re-work masterworks at the shape forge? Why are only a small handful of perks available at the shape forge? I think content replay-ability should stem from farming patterns and materials for shaping. Destiny’s funnest aspect is no doubt the gun play, its top tier. This aspect is further enhanced when you get amazing perks and synergies on a god roll weapon. When a game is fun players and playtime naturally follow. And I genuinely believe more shaping freedom would add mountains of fun to the game. Imagine shaping our own god roll weapons and experimenting freely with synergies etc. thats a power fantasy sandbox that sounds quite appealing, at least to me. What do you guys think?

1 ReplyAs well why are last wish red bar weapons available after doing last wish raid and 1 week after I have done it I have spoils of conquest but cannot buy these weapons I have to do the raid again each week??? and then I can buy the red bar weapons from Suraya. Why Bungie???

It must be possible as I have: - master worked shaped Tear of Contrition scout rifle - " " " the enigma glaive - " " " sailspy pitchglass LinearFusion rifle in my vault I did not get these on purpose and dont know how it happened but it did?

Thankfully they made it less terrible through several updates, but it would have been so much better if you could combine two of the same weapons into one, taking only the perks you want to keep. The grind still is there if it was expensive, a couple hundred thousand Glimmer and Ascendant Shards, for example. That way you have all current weapons available to modify and customize to your liking. Could have even had Ornaments available to replace the scopes/sights as a bonus.
