So, I am aware that a version of this question has been posted multiple times. Ill go with my short version. I started playing D2 on a PlayStation because that's where my friends were playing. Cross save came out and I wanted to play on my Xbox instead of Playstation, great!, I enabled cross save and I linked the wrong account, but was able to play for a few years. Didn't keep the PlayStation kept playing on Xbox. Still own an Xbox and don't own a PlayStation. I recently went to unlink my accounts thinking that the 90 day wait was just when you link the account not when unlinking (reading comprehension). Because I wanted to just have a single Xbox account that I play on instead of 2 (downsizing home costs). While it doesn't sound like there is anyway around the 90 day waiting period, all I really want is for my PlayStation account to become my Xbox account. I don't care about playing across platform anymore and just want to play my main account on my Xbox before final shape. Any chance someone can help me with this. Thanks.

Hello there, Your characters and progress are permanently bound to the platform account that was used to create them. It cannot be transfered between accounts. Cross save is used to allow that character set and progress to be used on other platform but it still "lives" on the platform save used to create it. Unfortunately, there is no way to reduce or remove the mandatory cool down that comes with deactivating cross save.

Bungie doesn't offer any service to transfer character data between platform accounts. Cross Save is the solution you want if your goal is to continue playing your PSN characters while logged in to Destiny 2 on an Xbox.
