All it takes is an auto rifle to kill a strand hunter super. It's such a joke that it was even worse when first released. Players chase hunters in their strand super instead of running away. Please give us more grenades or something instead of this trash super

I disagree, strand hunter is cheese in PVP. In 3v3 it’s more infuriating that og shatter dive. Put on a heliocentric, grapple and just spam threading’s. You don’t need a super, just play it as annoyingly as possible like everyone else. Better yet, recruit a void titan so you can do it all with over shields and really cheese the game. I will agree that auto rifles are oppressive in this meta. Ammit is an automatic sniper rifle with 0 recoil or flinch.

4 RepliesUsing that super in pvp is suicide. Using it in pve in any content above legend, also. It is by far the worst super in the game, not counting those that weren't updated.
-
Yeah, but only if they nerf its insanely busted mobility, and, you know, the strength of the class overall. Strand hunter is one of the strongest classes in PvP, and without a doubt the most annoying if the hunter in question spams threadlings. You can't have a class with great neutral game, great abilities, great mobility, and a great super. Otherwise you get something like pre-nerf arc titans. There's got to be a weak spot somewhere.

Edited by Striker: 12/30/2023 7:22:51 AMYeah it does kinda suck, sorta only works if you use the grapple effect to quickly relocate and surprise players away from where you started the super. Only way i’ve been able to get kills with it without dying 1.5 secs after launching it. What’s even worse is that it’s one of the slowest supers to charge up on its own. Slow charge and low lethality great stuff…

11 RepliesMost of the hunter's supers have no resilience. It keeps it in check. Why? Because titans and warlocks complain too much.
-
8 RepliesGood. It’s the most busted super in the game
-
2 RepliesNeutral game is super strong , no need for a super buff.
-
3 RepliesWhen I had my hunter, I always made sure to run at least 60 resilience. Trust me it makes a huge difference. I know the strand hunters have low damage reduction but thats because of their absurd mobility. You literally get to be spiderman for free and you can mix up your attacks with dive and spin attacks. Imagine if the super had more damage reduction? It would be a nightmare for everyone else. The more mobility a super has, the less damage reduction it needs to have. Thats balance
-
8 RepliesI mean looking at your hunter you have a whopping 19 resilience. Maybe that’s the issue too.
-
So true, popped my strand super as a Hunter and some little s**t just used a side arm with a bolt grenade and took me out…🤦♂️
-
I wouldn't care about how squishy it is if the hit registration wasn't garbage.
-
If you had more base resilience than a wet paper towel...then maybe you wouldn't be killed as quickly in your super.
-
4 RepliesDude, your hunter has 19 resilience. Of course you're going to get taken out quickly.
-
It really is a joke in PvP. It’s the only Super i don’t mind fighting at range because it would get shredded by my Vigilance Wing 9 times out of 10.
-
I wouldn't mind it as much if you could use your grapple in air while using the super, you grapple once and your stuck in the air like sitting duck
-
I do agree with you in that players do chase the super instead of look for cover and run. I myself am a hunter main and love to use strand. I too chase down other hunters who pop their strand super lol it's so incredibly easy to kill it's almost a joke/meme. It needs to be buffed. I actually refine from using my super in pvp matches due to that fact 🥲
-
It's very all or nothing but if it gets too much DR it will basically be a guaranteed wipe super.
-
Bump!
-
None of Them Do
-
2 Replies45% same as Silence & Squall. Last I checked your super cant get stuck in walls so count your blessings.
-
2 RepliesIf the opposition are in a strong position, it’s difficult to get to them without dying. If you activate it when things are a bit more chaotic, you can use multiple grapples to surprise them and multiple dodges to avoid being hit. Personally, I really like the super. It requires strategy and creative movement to use effectively. There are times when it feels really weak and other times when it feels really strong. I’m having fun trying to figure it out really.
-
I do love burning strand hunters who accidentally use a super thinking they're spooder man. Feels good.
-
Try Strand with MOTHKEEPER'S WRAPS and EX DIRIS check it out 3 grenades and mods to make them restore faster
-
The super is busted. Be honest, do you REALLY want to fight one of those if they had more resilience?
-
Stormcaller has had the same issue for YEARS, only now does it get brought up. Also, supers should be killable and for the most part they are.
-
I don’t have strand but anytime one comes at me they do all sorts of Spider-Man moves to evade my shots. All others I can easily gun down. Stasis, tether, GG and pole dancer feel like they take a resilience nerf when active. Is that how the strand super feels?
