With the return of onslaught, why does cascade point exist?

Just in case you want to complicate things on purpose? Good question. Ask Saltagreppo or any pvp equivalent...They hate the game bc they're too good at everything. Lol Meanwhile rest of the community is pulling their hair out half the time.

Because of cascade point i figured they wouldn't return onslaught and honestly thought that would be fine. Keep the strength of onslaught while changing it up some so its slightly harder to use. But nope. Onslaught back in full force, making a similar perk completely irrelevant. Knowing bungie we'll get a weapon with onslaught kill clip eventually. Or maybe even see an eventual return of rampage with onslaught in the next raid.
