Change or add new way to unlock wicked implement catalyst
Hey fellow guardians,
By the title it’s not really hard to guess what I think is a needed change for wicked implement.
The weapon it self was a challenge for us to get and then to get a good fire team for a awful challenge on top of that to get the catalyst is just stupid. I got the weapon last season but as I don’t have lots of time to play the game I continue to struggle to get a good fire team to complete the challenge to unlock the catalyst. This is not only due to the fact no one plays the mode anymore but anyone who does pretty much ends up failing and causes the issue to repeat itself.
What I think and hope is that Bungie change the way you can unlock the catalyst. Most people think of weapon as “I like the idea of the weapon but it’s not worth all the hoops to go threw”. That’s why it’s only owned by 39% of the player base.
All I ask is you upvote this so it can be changed. Thanks for reading and hope we see a change in the future.

Edited by ManatuBear: 10/16/2023 11:08:01 AMThe catalyst is not much harder to get than the weapon, if you can get one, you can get the other. And not all 3rd level encounters are the same. If you are getting a really hard one, wait for the daily reset and try again. The coral cleansing with extra challenge from Toland is an epic pain, but the kill 3 knights and then a few bosses in a row is very doable because you can just jump to a higher area put down wells of radiance and kill everything from there. Anyway, this game content will be vaulted when Final Shape arrives since it's seasonal, the catalyst will probably move to possible Nightfall reward and the weapon to the kiosk.

1 ReplyI can't even get the last exotic fish I need on Nessus to start the damn quest. At this point, I'm probably just going to give up. It's not fun or engaging pressing one button 1000s of times only to receive green and blue crap.

Bungie will add a new way once Final Shape launches.

Eventually they might do this. Tier 7 deep dives is not a walk in the park. Everyone needs to be slaying out the moment Toland acknowledges everyone is on board.
