Should legendary ornaments work on exotic armor?

After seeing how wildly different recent exotic ornaments make them look, personally I think we should be able to just use whatever ornaments we want. I know Bungie said they should be easily identifiable in the past, but they've clearly given up on that with their most recent designs as they look nothing like the original exotic.

Obviously not. Exotics should always be easily recognised. If some could have more options? Yes. But legendary ornaments? No way

Yes, I hate have to build my look around exotic armor That armor gets nerfed , I am back to square one

Personally, I like trying to match my gear to Exotics, although there're definitely some that just can't be paired with some things. Plus, there're several Exotics in dire need of cool ornaments. *cough* Raspberry *cough*

Unfortunately bungie said in the past that they won’t allow it to happen since they want exotics to be easily identifiable, especially in PvP environments

I dont see why not. Some exotics just don’t have ornaments to match anything and exotic ornaments would still be special Like Bungie says they want you to be able to identify someone and what exotic they’re using. That’s not happening in a fast paced game ever.
