Hi there. It is intentional that players are automatically warned when leaving a match or suspended for leaving multiple matches in a short period, regardless of the cause or reason. This is done to discourage players leaving teammates at a disadvantage. If you experience frequent disconnects, we recommend doing some troubleshooting to either fix or rule out your own network as the issue.
Note that bandwidth is not the main issue with connections. D2 only requires 1MB up/down bandwidth with a recommendation of 3MB up/down. The quality and consistency of your connection is far more important. You'll want to run tests to confirm your bandwidth is consistent as well as check for jitter and packet loss.
If there are temporary server issues that many players are simultaneously experiencing, the recommendation is to avoid playing matchmade activities, or wait to play the game until the disruptions subside.

Edited by TheTrojan320: 8/28/2023 7:42:08 PMI have played this game since release and I NEVER have issues playing. It’s been 3-4 times over the past 6-7 years. After my friend loaded in, our random also got kicked as he was running and just disappeared. It’s not my internet I promise you that.

Have you even looked into your Internet? Have you ran a full Internet diagnostic looking for issues? Things can change over time. When was the last time you reset your router and then cleared your system's cache to refresh your Internet connection as recommended by all ISP and platform providers to be done regularly. Are you using WiFi as they are subject to interference.

Yes, as I said….over 7 years it’s happened 3/4 times. It’s not my internet. No other game ever does it and if it doesn’t I don’t get a penalty.
-
"This works fine" is not a test of your Internet. All games and apps are different with both D1 and D2 needing a higher than average Internet signal quality.

My packet loss is 0%. My upload is 950. My download is 950. My bandwidth to the console is reflecting the same. My ping is below 30. Again it happens from time to time. The fact that others couldn’t stay connected to the lobby speaks volumes here. Sometimes there are just bugs in the game that disconnect you. I just don’t think penalizing me is the right approach. That’s all.

The fact you are getting those warnings says otherwise.

Edited by TheTrojan320: 8/28/2023 8:25:36 PM3/4 over 6-7 years tells me you didn’t read the entire post. Including the fact that our random player ALSO got kicked from the game.

3/4 over the last week? Month? Day? Then why bother making the post.

3/4 OVER THE PAST 6-7 YEARS. Read the post.
-
Then why bother making the post if this only happened once recently? When the restriction comes are you actually going to try and fix your Internet? Or you going to blame bungie as well?

You are thick as a brick bro. Stop answering.

Open forum bud. Anyone can respond. The system works fine as it does. You getting suspensions too?
