this boss is just BS, even with a div, witherhoard, well and bubble, tether, and 2 retrofits or thunderlords, you still get him to a little less than half health. get rid of timer, reduce its health, or add more time. just please bungo, do something good for the game.

100% agree It's the most difficult boss encounter for three-man fireteams in the entire game, GM Nightfall bosses included. Seems out of place for an exotic scout. Remove the timer and remove the need to debuff. Reintroduce one or both as part of a catalyst quest. Done.

2 RepliesI’ve already ran the mission a few times with clanmates. I just now ran an lfg for it just to see if there’s any validity to people saying to make it easier. No comms except for text chat. I was tcrash Titan using a linear. My two teammates were well locks, one with Div and one with Thunderlord. I also had Div at the ready in case they didn’t have one. We cleared it with 3+ min left…..got the boss past half on the first phase. This. Mission. Isn’t. Too. Hard. It simply requires you to optimize ever so slightly. You don’t even need Div. Me and my clan mates cleared it twice with only linears. Just have to have a brain when kiting him. Destiny is at its best when there is challenging content in the game.

1 ReplyTwo phased with three minutes left my first try. It’s fine as is. I would ditch the bubble and well for a high damage super. Thundercrash, nova bomb, chaos reach, etc.
-
If you have divinity run linear fusions, more damage and easy crit. Keep the well and add 2 burst supers for more DPS. The key is killing the minotaurs quickly.
-
9 RepliesBubble is useless. Use 1 well and 2 damage supers.

I have helped quite a few people through this so far (>15), it is perfectly viable, and a good challenge. The right approach makes for an easy clear.
-
I think he's fine other than div basically being required. Just remove his non crit damage resist and I think it's cool.
-
You’re too low maybe?
-
Nah it’s ez enough

First try: One Titan (me, using wishender and a sword and hammers) Two Hunter Friends (Both Arc, one with Tractor Cannon, the other with Xenophage) One opens up with Gathering Storm and tractor cannon. Then after I use hammers at range to avoid being suppressed and use the sunspots to continue attacking with a sword. My tactic doesn't let the boss ANYWHERE near the others, and they go to town with tractor and xeno. When I ran out of sword, I used wishender. Rinse, repeat Note I don't remember when the second Gathering storm went off, whenever I guess. 14 seconds left W

5 RepliesNo! Hard no! HELL NO! Leave the bloody difficultly alone. It's not that hard of a fight. If you're having trouble maybe try another approach or different team mates. You wanna dumb everything down to a brain dead boring level for everyone because you can't cope? No, I say leave it as it is and grow a pair.

Edited by BraddyBo: 7/8/2023 11:38:31 PMI’ve only said this like once or twice because it’s rarely 100% true but the truth is…skill issue. There’s a chance it may be a little easier next week because the chill touch modifier will be swapped out plus the catalyst will most likely become available.

Skill issue lol
-
If you were using that set up, then there is no chance you were lacking in the damage department. The only way I can see you failing is spending an age finding the Taken Minotaurs.

Skill issue

Gi gi gi........git gud

Babe, if a trashcan like me can do it I know you can. I believe in you.

I did with lfg with divinity and 2 thunderlord one of them not have catalyst and we killed him and still 2 minutes something time remaining even I tried before with different ppl , it’s the fireteam not the boss the problem

3 RepliesEdited by Vongola654: 7/8/2023 5:19:19 PM1. Don't group up. Tormentors love it when people think they need to huddle around the Divinity wielder for DPS. 2. Spread out and keep on the move. Divinity's crit bubble is 360 degrees around the boss, so shooting him from any angle will work, and everyone won't be simultaneously suppressed. 3. You only need 1 debuff and one team-buffing Super. Everything else should be dedicated to DPS. 4. Memorize where the Minotaurs spawn. If luck is on your side, they'll spawn in the main room and you can delete easy to get back to damage fairly quickly. Otherwise, they'll occupy three of the four corners of the labyrinth, so go straight to one of them when the boss damage phase is about to run out.

I attempted it last night it's just a matter of skill it's not impossible my only issue is the stupid boopers idk how I always get caught by them.

I’d use Thundersmash over bubble if you have a div and then you also wouldn’t need a tether either since it and div are both debuffs. Might help add a little bit of dps for you. Also linears like Tipan or Cataclysmic would be good with the div bubble.
