Fix your commendations or remove it
The title said it all stop making me care about something that doesn't work

1 ReplyThe workaround is to join/start a raid, then go back to orbit. The Commendation screen works until you disconnect.

2 RepliesI'm going to have to agree because Commendations stops players from receiving Commendation-based weekly rewards if they can't give out Commendations and makes it very difficult to get past certain ranks as you can only receive Commendations, if your accounts broke. And the kicker? It's server side and likely database-based bug as i've uninstalled and reinstalled Destiny. Issue continues.

The fact you aren't forced to give commendations but its a requirement to "earn" them from 90% of the brainrot players in this game who out of malice don't give any or don't care to begin with is proof this tacked on social points system was always going to be a joke.

Agree. Just remove it and autocomplete any component of the game using it for progression. My account lost access to commendation at some point Saturday afternoon. Out of nowhere, no more commendation screen and no ability to issue them. And since Bungie has tied one component of Guardian rank progression to the commendation score, I'm left counting on a dwindling number of players still capable of issuing commendations to slowly add to my score. So at this point, progression is effectively stopped.

The main screen doesn't load for me half the time, so I do that instead.

The part I keep laughing about, is when you're doing a six-man event yet it only gives you a chance to commend 3

3 RepliesMine hasn't worked for near 2 weeks now. There's is no commendation screen, there are no tabs next to people on the scoreboard, I just can't give commendations at all. It's like it was before the screen existed. Since they changed the clan xp reward to a reward from giving commendations, I can't get those now.

I got a free pass now. I've always hated Commendations, except best-dressed😂. I use that every chance I get, but now my Commendations are just 100% gone. I don't even have the option to commendate on the scoreboard. Its just the old boards we had. This is one glitch I'm ok with, though I bet it will be fixed this week on reset.

1 ReplyEvery game I have played with a commendations system, the system does not work as envisioned by the development team, or is forced on players in order to receive some reward. Bungie chose the forced on players route. You have to give commendations in order to receive something from Hawthorne. Idiotic!

Same with chasing recycled (previously sunset) deepsight weapons, fishing, etc. All filler content. MY opinion only, but I'm sure it won't stop the defenders. It's all to drag out time to make the player numbers look good. I bet Eververse works just fine though.

I'm able to give them after activities. The only 1 that's annoying is the deep dive cause you have to wait till the timer runs out.
