do you have any of the commands typed in in the steam startup like -HIGH and -USEALLAVIABLECORES ? if so try not using them they seem to be messing things up also set your min clock speed on the gpu to like 200 mhz below the max clock setting. are you using a freesync display turn vsync to always on in amd settings and set in game frame rate to just below monitor max fps ie if it 165hz set in game to 160. see if any of that helps those things see to have helped quite a bit on all my machines they have definetly broken something though

  • THANK YOU!!! I have been looking for solutions for pretty long time it seems that amd drivers have some problems with direct x 11 mostly. I even stoped playing because i could play only at capped 120fps but with a lot of stutters. I also turned off amd expo but i am not sure if that helped but as for your settings it seems to work fine now(also i did turn off the zero rpm setting for fans and lower the power to -5 idk if it helps) i did vsync at 240hz and capped frames at 170 so i dont have big fps dips i play on 1440p and i have some details lower i am not sure if i will keep higher frames with more higher details. It has been a nightmare thanks for this post i recently bought and amd machine 7900xtx and ryzen 7800x3d so i thought that destiny will be a piece of cake how i was wrong :D

  • Will try this after I try another possible fix that someone recommended to me. Seems to be a shader cache issue.

  • OK update this thread i'd like to see what works for you i have several AMD machines and want to sort it out I have a 6600,6700,6700XT and 6800XT and across the board am seeing this and the main machine is a 5800X3D with 32gig ram all NVME drives and a 6800XT and that should not be stuttering never did before.

  • This seems to be working so far. Stuttering issues still happen when I go to a destination I haven’t been to since updating, but a lot of others said that this fixed their issue. Seems Destiny likes to constantly reset its AMD shader cache causing massive stuttering when updating shaders. Doing this fix worked pretty well so far. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/10lrovx/rx6800_stuttering_in_destiny/j5z5mji/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&utm_content=1&utm_term=15&context=3

  • Same here followed that post added the extra reg edit cleared cache and after loading game and going to a few places then going back again everything smoothed out and this worked on all my machines including my Steamdeck.
