I have been a player for over 8 years. This maintenance outage in the middle of the day (CST) is ridiculous. Please develop a rollback plan and execute it at the first sign of trouble. Better, build a SOLID failover environment with capacity to handle full load, and fail to that at the first sign of trouble.
I am assuming, of course, that the software and\or capacity is the issue.
Whatever, please get it fixed. $100 (One hundred dollars) game software cost demands that the company provide 99.99(9) uptime.
CHEERS

"Please develop a rollback plan and execute it at the first sign of trouble. Better, build a SOLID failover environment with capacity to handle full load, and fail to that at the first sign of trouble." Back up plans? Redundancies? -blam!- lol, not here.

It could be due to real-world issues. Not sure I think I remember Bungie are moving things due to the larger location. If so They gotta physically move their stuff at some point. Our company did this and it's not a smooth process no matter how hard you try to keep things running 24/7 without issues

11 RepliesWhy do you care? Nightfall this week is that Mars Heist travesty and most of the game is in a terrible state. Everything added for Lightfall (and it isn't much) feels like it was designed by tweens. The constant Zoomer garbage spewed by Nimbus during that highly tedious and repetitive "event" on Neomuna is more than I can stand, and if you dare criticize the Nimbus script well, then you MUST be a bigot because nobody could ever possibly just hate an NPC for actual valid reasons. What was once an intelligent game has become so mediocre that only a child could consider it worthwhile.

Bungie: You’re not wrong, but we don’t care.

5 RepliesThis whole season/ lightfall has been nothing but a waste of time, I think I’ve spent more time this season waiting for maintenance to finish then playing destiny.
-
Agreed. I've cut Bungie enough slack. These ever-growing maintenance times never seem to fix things for long. Lately, I've reduced my time with Destiny to almost nothing after being an enthusiastic player since D1. Bungie should note the complaints coming from veteran players. They are complaining because they care about the game and hate seeing it fall apart. And, I should note that many people don't complain if a game turns them off. They just quietly leave. At least when a customer complains, the company can try to address their issues. In that way, complaints are actually doing Bungie a favor. As for me, I hope Bungie gives me a reason to want to reinvest time into the game. That's why I still check the forums and Twitter feed, etc. If I see people starting to get excited again then I'll be doing more than checking in for 5 minutes per week.

Fully agree. This is why I was upset about them switching the day 1 contest to a work weekday. 3.6 billion dollar company that has no tech support other than Monday - Friday 9-4.
-
Remember you are dealing with the B team The A team is working on something else for a long time.d2 is just a afterthought.

2 RepliesI see the "lobbyist" and Bungie "minions" are in full force getting paid to take up for Bungee. These customers, myself included have a right to receive a product we pay darn good money for. If we don't, we have a right to voice it. Yes, I understand maturity for when things don't go smoothly, but lately that's almost every day and every week. Of course, others can complain, maybe you, and they don't get same trolling treatment. It's all BS. BTW, Bungie does need to get their act together. They will fall one day, this doesn't help.

If you can’t live without a little destiny, even with limited playtime. That’s a personal issue. My only issue is constant contacting destiny servers, which if you ask me, is equivalent to being on old gen, waiting for your full inventory to load lol
This is getting old
Obviously, you are correct Sherlock. It’s not just old, it’s antiquated. An 8 year “old” game with an even older, antiquated P2P networking and recycled antique engine. So yeah, you are not wrong Sherlock! Game is a shamble mess of shallowness!🤣

Why do you even care? This game is boring as hell right now. Lightfall was the worst DLC in Destinys history. I logged in for 15 minutes, played the "mission" and logged off for the week again. They have clearly given up on D2 and don't care at all anymore. Why even bother investing time into this sinking ship?

6 RepliesEdited by Hræsvelgr: 4/18/2023 10:52:30 PMQuite frankly, we should all be playing other games. I keep asking myself “then what?” every time I set a milestone. There’s absolutely no endgame or satisfaction here other than chasing after mindless and empty titles. Bungie is as shallow as its focus on micro transactions through Eververse.

Back in D1, reset used to be 5pm my time and me and my friends wouldn't be able to play whenever they had maintenance before reset. Y'know what we did? We met up irl or we simply played a different game. Try go outside for once buddy

1 ReplyWelcome to Destiny , You are right ist a shame for a triple AAA game

2 RepliesBungie here's a idea stop doing your maintenance during peak hours. Put your IT department on 3rd shift ,you would have way less complaints. 12pm pst so if there is a problem most wont give a sh.t

7 RepliesWhat does your playtime have to do with the servers? Another self-important toolbag...

What do you expect? We don’t have talented people working on the game. This ultimately comes down to leadership but they are not doing a good job either.

14 RepliesNo game is gonna have 99.9% uptime. That's ridiculous.

20 RepliesMan I’ve read some ridiculous -blam!- on these forums but these topics take the cake for me. Players- Bungie fix your game, error codes, connectivity issues, bugs galore, I paid xxx for this game! Bungie- we will be doing maintenance to try and fix some of your issues the game may be unplayable for an extended time during this maintenance period. Players- aarrhh this is -blam!- fix your dam maintenance times! Proceeds to throw their toys out of their play pen like entitled children
