Powerlevel is a pointless grind.
Powerlevel is arguably one the most pointless things in Destiny. What is the actual point? I have my Hunter at 1821. I go into an 1830 activity, then I see that my power is only effective up to 1815. Therefore 6 power level is deducted from my overall power, worse for those that are 1830 as they lose 15 power. So, grinding out my power to be nerfed is really stupid. And it's like that for any endgame PvE activity. It makes no sense. And on top of that, everything at our power is already an ohko bullet-sponge as it is. This isn't me whining about the difficulty changes or anything, I just feel that there is no point in hitting the hard cap and grinding out artifact levels if nothing matters after a certain point.
It's a lame attempt at artificial difficulty. Just like anything a foot taller than us stomping the ground to knock us back or instantly kill.

24 RepliesIt will be interesting to see what incentive players will have to play if there’s no power level to increase. I’m sure as schitt not going to dump hours into a game where there’s nothing to chase. I hit 1830 recently and was like “why?” Guess I’m done for this season after GMs drop. Well done Bungie.
