Before lightfall I would rotate between my guardians, their weapons and their subclasses as I did bounties, eg get arc kills on a bow etc. just enjoyed the game.
Now with this level of tedious difficulty I have to use only my best load outs, so for me it is solar titan with witherhoard, etc. Barely used my warlock. Used hunter a bit more, but only a single load out.
Seen that the strand titan is strong, but it requires the new leg exotics, but I am not even close to being able to do a legend lost sector at current difficulty. Will experiment without the legs.
Anyway, just my view, I bought lightfall so will continue with it but I can already sense the tedium growing with only using my best build on mainly one Guardian for everything.

1 ReplyI have completed weapons bounties with my weapons that are still 1600. I think the problem here is that you as so many others, try to complete them and other things on Neptune. Neptune is on a higher power level than other planets.

10 RepliesEdited by l Xemnas: 3/15/2023 5:37:21 AMI want to know who's idea anti barrier side arm was. What sidearm (bar Forerunner) is going to shoot from the range you need while doing enough damage to stun a barrier champ? They can still shoot you while shield is up and you're already doing reduced damage for being underlight. Now you'll have to leave cover and get close to compensate for range. Maybe its just meant for a pvp mod?

Granted, they've been weeding out diversity and player choice in the game since Shadowkeep introducing champions and weapon specific counters. Bungie wants you to play how they want so it'll bump up the gameplay time.
-
2 RepliesI completely do not understand what you are saying. You CAN’T use all the subclasses because content is too hard? What kind of sense does that make? Every character has strengths and weaknesses, every class can be powerful with the right build. You just need to learn them.

3 Replies"Play how you want, as long as it's how we want you to play."

It's just not fun for me any more. I'm sorry I bought the content. Oh well nothing I can do about it now.

Hey man, two birds one stone.

Seen that the strand titan is strong, but it requires the new leg exotics
This is not accurate. You do not need the legs for strand titan to be good

1 ReplyIm willing to wager a majority of you had never even created a build or had only one loadout before this expansion even released. Most of you just follow what your favorite streamers tell you is good and stay that way until the next thing they say is good.

4 RepliesI have one character for more challenging content, and I use the other two only for less challenging content. They did all have several fully gold builds, but then that armour was sunset and there was no way I was going to put the required effort into replacing it all.

10 RepliesSkill issue. Just tell your bow to get better. Duh.
This is how people sound when defending the difficulty changes
I'm actually enjoying the changes and level of difficulty. Also I'm playing solo now and enjoying it more. I skipped the last couple of seasons for 2 reasons being I felt they were particularly boring and needed an break and also just loading into activities standing there an wrecking everything had become boring. I haven't done a nightfall or legend lost sector yet! Campaing I did solo legendary, I did die a lot, but changed my play style moved around a lot more and learnt from my mistakes. I've enjoyed the side quests and exotic machine gun one. The steps are still bit tedious, but overall I've enjoyed the game so far, much more than the seasons from witch Queen. I did have trepidation loading lightfall up at first, mainly from reading comments on here, but again I'm enjoying it and wouldn't want the difficulty changes reverted. On another note the light levels I see for activities seem a tad high and I may struggle to reach them has I do not that much time to play, I think 1770 should have been the first nightfall entry level and then upwards. As for lost sectors, I don't really do much of them but maybe 1790 legendary. That's my thoughts.

5 RepliesYou can actually make great builds on any character now with the mod & artifact changes they implemented
-
Wait what? Aside 5 bounty that are for neomuna you can do your arc kill and bow kill anywhere else Don't farm bounty in NF ....its want strike are for Other than that ....

Not only level of difficulty but the scrapping of our ability to build craft and just making most weapons really powerful has made it so you just smack on whatever gun, 3 surges, and then use Warlock since they're the strongest class by far (which was exacerbated by the mod changes removing some diverse builds from hunter and titan). Just use Starfire and call it a day. There's literally no point in using anything else and its sad.
-
I've been playing mostly one character for a long time now. Lately, I don't even want to play one character. The last few play sessions have ended with me just closing the game out mid activity. Started sometime around Lightfall's release.

7 RepliesYou can use really any class and subclass you want in basically all content. I used tons of variety in the day 1 raid, and in the legend content I do. I really just play with what I want and I typically don't have problems, unless I forgot some mods or something

Edited by Geordwah: 3/13/2023 6:18:35 PMYou’re going to get all of the ‘it’s not that hard’ ‘try this or that’ ‘ ‘did legendary with one hand and a spoon’. I agree, I’ve got decent gear but it’s a constant change around and death is a constant companion.

2 RepliesI play on all my characters, havent founds an issue with any of them, used them on end game content, including the raid, even switched to different subclasses during different encounters The strand titan build DOES NOT require you to use the new boots, I actually use the same build as for my hammer titan (exotic wise). Extremely powerful and amazing at dealing with ads. Dont say I can't do use strand because I dont have the new boots, this is simply not true, you need to take a different approach, because if you cannot do, lets say, a legend lost sector without them you wont be doing them with them either. They are not magical

Edited by Zeyd: 3/13/2023 4:21:51 PMUse void weapons, get volatile flow on artifact and blow through everything. You don't even have to be on a void subclass. Or use strand weapons and turn tangles into suspending nukes.
-
2 RepliesYou can still use most whatever you want in the overwhelming majority of the game. Most things difficulty wise barely changed. But I imagine the change was fueled by how insanely overpowered newer weapons are, arc ones starting to get voltshot now or void weapons usually being paired with volitile rounds. We’re shooting cannons instead of rifles now so yeah older gears gonna feel a bit left behind

Agreed, current changes killed build (and weapon) diversity worse than anything before.
Seen that the strand titan is strong, but it requires the new leg exotics, but I am not even close to being able to do a legend lost sector at current difficulty. Will experiment without the legs.
They are rewarded for finishing a legendary campaign and they have decent stats (67) and distribution.

3 RepliesI can barely use my synthoceps hammer build anymore due to the absurd damage I take, I feel like im forced to stay on strand now for woven mail.

Edited by YeahItsTAC: 3/13/2023 9:55:16 AMEh, more or less disagree. I think with Subclass 3.0 and the plethora of exotics, each Subclass can realistically get a good handful of good, viable builds going that can be used with the difficulty increase. On my Hunter, I have 2 sets for each subclass which I feel work pretty well. My friend’s Titan has at least one per subclass and typically just sticks on Cuirass Thundercrash and can stay alive in Contest mode. Someone else’s Warlock again has at least 1 per subclass and can find success with all (maybe not Arc), primarily Solar (obviously) and Void. I will say, the game has always favored people’s best builds in harder content, but I personally don’t feel like this increase was enough to change much.
