So I checked my updates, and I dont have one for Destiny

Did you try the second part of the instructions? That’s where I found it. I had to scroll through it.

I didnt get the Upgrade option when I launched it

It won’t tell you. Totally close out destiny. Click the menu button on your controller while you hover over the icon for the game. Pick manage updates.
