Two options: or increase the max cap of Ascendet Shards and Prismis we can have or let us deposit stacks in vault. Part of the PM problem would be resolved with this old demand of the community.
Bungie, plz.

3 RepliesThe fact that storage is even an issue is strange, Destiny is a looter shooter yet punishes you for having too much loot. It’s contradictory, it’d be like if Metal Gear Solid punished you for stealth or League of Legends was an enjoyable and well balanced game.
-
Learning not to use the postmaster for storage would be a fix as well - it's been a thing forever also.
-
2 RepliesIf you have so many of a material that it’s in your inventory and post master you don’t need the material in the post master, you already aren’t using the stuff on your character.
-
Delete ya weapons
-
If you don't use mats you don't need more than max
-
That, and add an optional blue auto delete.
-
If you have that many shards saved up just delete them. You clearly are not using them and they are easy as hell to get. There really is no point in saving more than the cap.
-
I feel like a lot of people commenting didn’t actually read your post. But I completely agree, having a cap on materials and not allowing us to store them anywhere is a bit dumb, and the simple solution of allowing us to put said materials in our vaults would fix this issue. That or raising the caps. I mean, 10 golf ball cap when masterworking man exotic takes 3? Cmon bungie…
-
Aside from the singular occasional blue or purple item, there is never anything in my postmaster aside from 10 shards, 50 prisms, and 25 upgrade modules. It is NOT hard to manage and prevent items from being lost. Why do I keep those things there? Because stack limits are cancer.
-
10 RepliesIf you are holding on to them then you don't need more so no postmaster is not storage
-
2 RepliesMW exotics and store material that way. ‘But that’s at a loss, I can’t lose the precious’ So? Going to lose whole stacks when the PM losses it or it gets deleted when full. Problem solved. You’re welcome.
-
I think they said why they wanted caps but I don’t really remember. Either way I see zero reason for caps to exist. Arbitrary limiters that really do nothing but end up tilting players because the pm ditched a stack of 10 when you got 19 blues you’d rather have auto dismantle
-
Sounds like the postmaster still isn’t storage
-
5 RepliesThe caps are there to ensure material inflation control Why do you think shards and prisms were introduced in the first place? Why do you think upgrade modules were introduced? Because the caps on shards and prisms prevents players from hoarding them when they Don’t need them - which again means even in 3 years they are valuable and you will play activities to get them Without any caps I would have collected maybe 500 shards so far and wouldn’t care about them. Which is exactly the opposite of good game design Shards and prisms are more common now and you should use them constantly if you want. There is no reason to raise the cap because it’s easy to get them in endgame content

11 RepliesEvery post is just getting so much elitism and hUr HuR "play my way" lately. Caps on materials are very trash. Regardless of the material. It isn't about "needing" them exclusively. It's about having your time and effort rewarded. In a game where the RNG is poop, denying payers even the satisfaction of the rewards they actually get is just poor. Some players are hoarders. Myself, I have tons of year 1 and 2 items and weapons. I don't masterwork every armor. On my more infantile account some of the higher end rewards like shard and prisms can be hard to manage or earn while also using them wisely. Players saying "use them" clearly don't understand there isn't something to use them on. Spend some of the most valuable in game resources on a blind armor makes no sense.

1 ReplyOption 3: Delete post master.
-
At the very least we should be allowed to lock the important upgrade materials... or just let us dump our excess into our vault

Edited by PVP SUX: 5/4/2022 1:51:13 AMIf you want Bungie to fix things, stop playing the daWn thing! Not until they feel threatened will they do something about it! Whining on this board don't do SQUAT. Sure feels nice to rant, but will do no good!

3 RepliesEdited by Adcap: 5/3/2022 1:12:14 PMThese comments I swear, Spending said mats are NOT always the right answer and If I have to explain why then you are doing it WRONG! How's that feel? Even though this isn't directly related to New lights but it kinda does. They struggle and that's being nice about describing why. One truly doesn't fully understand till you make a fresh account, then you will understand why these types of posts come up all the time, and no we didn't have it as hard as new players do today, trust me. They struggle to get mats and Vets struggle with having too many... OP is correct, there needs to be an adjustment either with caps, storage, or amounts needed to masterwork. Jeez maybe even, not sure anyone could handle this idea, probably would make everyone go bonkers, Anarchy!! I say!...REMOVE mats to masterwork.
-
2 RepliesCouldn't you store them in D1? Why are so many against this simple idea lmao
-
Edited by Golden_Apple: 5/3/2022 10:02:20 PMNah, a lot of you clearly don't use DIM and it most definitely shows.
See you on Hoarders
-
The dumb thing is, the post master IS storage. By any damned criteria it is.
-
29 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 5/3/2022 1:49:36 PMBecause Bungie doesn't want you stockpiling those items and breaking the game's economy. TLDR: Stop trying to hoard them, and go ahead and USE them.
-
7 RepliesThere is no postmaster problem. You have an inventory management problem.
-
5 bucks says the OP posts next week about how mats are getting deleted from PM. (Golf balls gone)
-
Third option: use the materials or don’t care about them
