Some of you may be familiar with the Myers-Briggs type indicator, which uses a self-reported questionnaire to gauge the way you observe, think about, and interact with the world.
The 16 Personalities test analyses your responses to the questions and shows the 4 letter personality type that best describes you based on your answers. There are 4 categories with two "traits" each, which allows for 16 different combinations. They are as follows:
Mind:
Extraverted (E) or Introverted (I)
Energy:
Intuitive (N) or Observant (S)
Nature:
Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)
Tactics:
Judging (J) or Prospecting (P)
There is also an additional measurement of Identity (Turbulent vs Assertive), but it doesn't change your personality type.
My most recent test identifies me as the "Virtuoso" personality type, ISTP-T. All of my previous tests had shown me as the "Logician" type, INTP-T, but my Intuitive/Observant score (N/S) has always been right around 50%, so it's not surprising that it shifted a bit.
The website also shows a lot of information about how people with your personality type tend to interact with the world, including friendships, romance, and the workplace. It won't always be perfectly accurate, but you'd be surprised by how much they get right.
For example, the INTP personality page describes me almost perfectly. The only exception is that I actually understand how others feel and tend to be rather empathetic, which is the opposite of what the INTP type is typically known for. Everything else was dead on.
Anyways, if you made it through this wall of text, let me know what personality type it gives you. Do you agree with what it says about you? I'm curious as to how you all measure up from a psychological perspective.
