How players obtain armor mods needs to change.

The current system of obtaining armor mods is extremely poor. New light players are just screwed and veteran players that take a break have to rely on RNG. This game is supposed to be heavily about build crafting and this just stops that before you can even start. Ada should not sell 2 random mods every day based purely on RNG. And I say 2 because the other ones are weapon mods that you get just from playing the game so they don't matter. The fact that this hasn't been changed is ridiculous. When Void 3.0 came out, Ikora sells everyone the grenades..... You created a whole system to sell new abilities that come out. This should be implemented with armor mods immediately. You could sell them for just about anything.... glimmer, shards, cores, exotic cypher. This should have happened over a year ago.

  • Ever heard of FOMO? It keeps players coming back, even if it's just to check vendors.

  • While I dont think players should get all the combat style mods at once. I do believe that all basic mods should be part of the new light package ex: resilience mod, recovery mod, quick access sling, icarus grip, boss spec, major spec, ect.

    • Why does it need to change. They just hand out the mods for free now compared to people spending hours upon hours farming for them when they just released. Be happy with how easy you have it. Not every single mod should be just handed to you for no effort. Would you rather they put the mods behind a max rank of a vendor? Because that is what a lot of those mods came from.

      • I started my daughter an account last year during the WQ wait. Got her every good mod, but it took a millenia. Would have been easier this season, since they've doubled the mods available each day, but still. People forget that, if you have quite a few planetary resources for the EDZ/Nessus, you can turn them in for rank-up packages. Every four or five packages has a mod (on average). No CWL, Warmind, or Elemental Well mods, though. Expensive but good to know.

        • People have been complaining that legend/master lost sectors have crap rewards, while we have a ton of rewards (combat mods) that have no drop source. If only there was something that could be done.
