There's no reason why I MUST do the Elrebus quest or complete the campaign so I can do wellspring or buy red borders at war table on other characters . That should be OPTIONAL once done on first character . Enough with mindless grind

That's why I stopped doing the Seasonal story on all three of my characters. It's too repetitive, boring, and a massive time commitment. DLC are a different story since you have to beat the campaign to play endgame content. It really is a dated and unnecessary prerequisite.

8 RepliesHave no idea how anyone can run 3 characters…..I can’t maintain one 😂
-
One play through should level all three instead of having to play the campaign 3 times…I hate it…
-
Like a bunch of people have said, I used to run a Guardian in each class but just can't be bothered anymore. Just doing things with my Warlock seems like a chore now.
-
3 RepliesThe big thing is the campaign missions. If i beat the campaign on one character, it should be completed on my other 2 characters automatically. It’s all the same account, so why the heck do i need to run it 2 more freakin times?
-
9 RepliesTime for Destiny to revamp the characters, classes and subclasses. You create one character. Make it look any way you want. Your character then has the 3 classes that need to be unlocked. Same as now, but you don't switch characters, just the class you want to run. Then each class has the 4 burns. So you'd start the game with one character and no abilities. Do a Titan quest, unlock that class and the associated burns. Want a hunter class added to your character? Do the quest to unlock the hunter. Same as a warlock. You'll have one character that can adapt to any aspect of the game and you'll only have to do quests once. Armor would still be class based. So you'd have to run that class for the event if it's class dependent. Bottom line. Everyone would have access to unlock a titan, warlock and hunter class without having to create a one. Raid? No problem. GM NF? No problem. No logging off. Couple of clicks. You're set to go.

1 ReplyOp is correct. There is no reason why they MUST run more than one character! The irony!
-
One thing that gives me motivation to play 3 characters is using different weapons on each character and making builds
-
4 RepliesNo. If you have time to maintain 3 characters, you can find time to unlock everything by doing the campaign.
-
Then just do one ? OMG.
-
2 RepliesSomething I miss from d1 was being able to infuse regardless of the class. I used to just drop all the gear I didn't need in my main for the other 2 characters, so whenever I felt to jump in them I wasn't far behind. I can't bring myself to play much my 2 other characters these days.
-
3 RepliesI did the campaign on legendary for my first character and normal on the other two. Went pretty quick.
-
3 RepliesI can’t even bare to do one character anymore.
-
I get your point however being retired it's not so much of a problem.... only boring! In saying that, once you level up one character to max level, the other two can reach max level (with weapons transfer) litterally in one day.
-
1 ReplyDeleted hunter and titan, after changes to bounties i don't see reason to play all 3 of them and need to grind crap 3 times was not helping.
-
3 RepliesI would suggest playing a different character per season and only one. I would be exhausted by just of the thought of repeating the process every season 🤮
-
Agree, this season i have been leveling two but i most now play on Warlock as i am getting bored do the same thing twice... Next season i may go only one, don´t have the time nor the patient to grind more characters.
There's no reason why I MUST do the Elrebus quest or complete the campaign so I can do wellspring or buy red borders at war table on other characters . That should be OPTIONAL once done on first character . Enough with mindless grind
199% correct

1 ReplyI think this has to be the worst season for grind. Nearly everything require extreme grind. New Weapon crafting is great but so much grind to complete the patterns then grind out the mats to upgrade Wellspring grind to get the weapon patterns to drop Raid grind to get the RNG weapons to drop to then grind more weapons from the raid to upgrade them They add the grind to slow the game down till they can claw thier way to the next season but all they do is drive players away RNG needs to change too its so frustrating
-
First time in years I just can't face doing all three. Even the Campaign x3 is too much when they're pushing for us to do each component part again, weekly, over and over.
-
Agreed. Don’t artificiality inflate playtime.
-
2 RepliesI would suggest playing a different game if only there were other looter shooters worth playing.....😔
-
1 Replygot a ton of other games to play this game isn't remotely fun enough to repeat the same stuff on 3 characters, I'm honestly not even grinding one that much I'm having a lot less fun ever since they slowed down supers/abilities, especially in pvp
-
3 Replies
Enough with mindless grind
So while you are asking for this^ Bungie has been spending why too much time this last year looking for more ways to add more padded playtime. The recent one was doubling the time it takes to rank up vanguard. That's called "creative development", Bungie at their best, or shall I say all they know how to offer 👍
-
Season 17 looks mostly like a waste of time. A stupid pistol for Trials and another lame fusion… yawn. The only thing worth grinding for is an adept Horror’s Least Pulse Rifle. Time to play more COD
-
100% agreed, I actually only just made a third character yesterday. That was only to get a certain triumph done easier too, and I’m honestly even tempted to delete it once I get said triumph. Lol
