Exorcism quest not progressing
Just finished the exorcism activity but the quest is still on step one. Didnt quit out or anything, got the cutscene then back to orbit.
Edit: update, just ran it again and it progresses

Like everyone else, after multiple attempts, I deleted the quest and restarted the game (on Xbox Series S.) After reacquiring the quest, I ran an Astral Alignment. Before the count down even finished, I started the Exorcism Quest. Ran it and the quest progressed! (Thankfully, no buttheads tried jumping on Hive ships) I repeated this for a friend same result. Might be a fluke, maybe not. I thought I would mention it anyway. (I stayed on my 🖍️ Eater the entire time never switching or picking up the quest with alt characters only deleted and picked it back up after game restart.)

Thursday Night 2/17/22 10:30pm EST, end cutscene doesn't play, boots me to Director. Still not working. Very disappointing. Might be graphics card related. Mine is an Nvidia GTX 970, with the latest 2/14 update.

I did the quest twice and got the triumph on the first run no problem. I then dropped the quest, picked it up again and tried again a few days later with still no progress. Super annoying, I hope this gets fixed before Tuesday...

1 ReplyFirst run, bugged at corsairs because at least two people sword skated down the bridge. 2nd run end cutscene finished, but didn't get triumph or loot and got dumped to orbit. 3rd run got loot and triumph but spent about a half second back in blind well before getting dumped to orbit again, quest still not completed. Is this what we have to look forward to for WQ?

By the way, quest+triumph+radio message remain incomplete EVEN if you finally manage to reach the end without connection errors and cutscene skips. What a failure, with only a few days until all of these are gone.

Same problem. Got the triumph but the quest isn't progressing. This situation isn't a good advertising for new DLC.

Same here. Did the mission twice, with the second time having no one skip the cutscene. Still no progress on the quest or triumphs...

I ran Exorcism 1 time yesterday and 3 times today. Seems every single time I see the whole cut scene. NO quest progression...still stuck on step 1 of 3. BUNGIE fix it.

Mine is also bugged, ran it twice solo Q'd, got the triumph but not quest completion. At the time I had max quests 63/63.

1 ReplyJust finished my fourth run. Still no quest progress. I got the 4 perk weapon reward on my first run as well as the triumph. I did not get to see the cutscene that time. On my second run I got to see the cutscene. There were no rewards after that run. On my third run I had no cutscene and no rewards. On my fourth run I had a cutscene but no rewards.

Xbox Series S: After multiple attempts and getting the triumph but no quest progress I ran a Astral alignment activity and then ran the mission and it worked! It also gave me a new message at the end of the alignment that I hadn't heard yet

Ran mission. Blueberries all skipped the cutscene, so no progress.... Deleted all my characters, uninstalled the game, refunded Witch Queen. Seemed to work. Possible fix?

Not progressing for me, been on 6 runs now. Sometimes the ships get stuck, sometimes the others skip the cutscene on me, but I’ve seen what I assume is the entire cutscene twice now and no mission progress. 28 quests so I have plenty of room, please fix this, you have just a couple days. I got the triumph so I don’t understand what is wrong here

Tried 3 times yesterday and no progress. Today I got it on my first try even though someone else skipped the curscene.

Still cant progress. The cutscene at the end gets skipped automaticlay without me pressing anything and then i get booted straight to orbit withouth any rewards or quest progress. 3 attempts today.

I did it three times now after abandoning the quest and getting it back at the kiosk, have done it without dieing, and even got the triumph but the quest will not complete.

30 hours later and still nothing has been fixed. Idiots skip the cutscene, no quest done, no final message, no triumph. Extremely sloppy & anti-climactic end to what should have been one of D2's most memorable moments. Yes, in spite of all the recent hype, Bungie can still f#@k up - and it will.

Completed exorcism twice — once in firetime and once solo freelance— quest has not progressed, but triumph for completing the exorcism popped on The second run. Why isn’t quest progressing?
