  • Unlinking accounts ALWAYS requires entering valid log in credentials that will authenticate against the underlying platform's log in servers.

  • Good to know, I already contacted Microsoft support but apparently the account is banned ( I gave my Xbox account and console to my brother and he did something ban worthy with it) so it's not possible to recover. Thanks for the responses nevertheless, appreciate the fast reply time.

  • If the XBox account is banned then you'll never be able to remove it from this profile. Your two options are: 1. Leave it as-is, you won't be able to link another XBox account and you won't be able to utilize cross save. or 2. Move your other accounts to a new bungie.net profile where you'd be able to set up cross save and if needed link a different XBox account. If you select option #2 keep in mind that any emblem codes you've redeemed on your current profile are permanently tied to that profile and will not move to the new profile. So you would lose any emblems you've redeemed via codes on bungie.net. However, your characters and game progress would be intact as that data is tied to the platform account.
