Why is Golden Gun at Tier 2 while Arcstrider was at Tier 3? This doesn't make sense. Especially considering things like flinch affecting it, getting two tapped by a vorpal DMT, any one hit kill weapon can drop it, etc. Goldy is not low risk, and a max of three kills is not high reward either.
With Stompees, dodge spam, reflect, etc., Arcstrider is easily a top super option. Tier 3 is very generous for Arcstrider.
Meanwhile Goldy is at Tier 2 (charges slower than Tier 3) when it currently has the lowest win rate of all Hunter supers on PC and console. This is primarily because it has zero passive buffs (mobility, damage resistance, etc.) and people can just wait it out and run away behind cover.
Makes zero sense. Way of the Sharpshooter is the only super in the game that can't get more than three kills, outside of Bubble and Well, and it isn't like every top tree Goldy player is getting team wipes.
And Practice Makes Perfect got a fat 50% nerf. So I doubt a Tier 2 super is going to get three casts a game in the new system, even with primaries giving more super. And even then, Way of the Sharpshooter is still limited to three kills while no other super is.
Unless Way of the Sharpshooter is getting things like Combustion and Keyhole built into Solar 3.0, this feels like a mistake.
On a side note, why is the worst super in PvP, Shadowshot, Tier 3? The answer to that has to be Void 3.0 otherwise I'm beyond confused.

Ide really like to see the hammer titan or sword warlock only get 3 attack super with no damage resistance.
-
I am never afraid in trials when one goes off. Easiest snipe you can get
-
I'd assume they recognize the lethality of it in a vacuume. In certain situations it CAN be strong, but it gets cheesed out by so much nonsense because of it lacking damage reduction (which I still support it being that way). At the least, it should probably be in the same tier as the shut down supers but it might actually be a more potent subclass this December with a greater emphasis on gunplay and a decrease in general ability upkeep.

15 RepliesEdited by Infamous067: 11/19/2021 5:00:43 PMGG is the biggest lowest risk high reward super in the game idk how you don’t see that. The super can literally map you across the map if using bottom tree and the top tree can easily wipe a team without having to put yourself in any risk all because its a hitscan super. There is no other hitscan super in the game and for good reason. As for the nightstalker, I agree it needs to go up in tiers because its not a lethal super, its a support one like well of radiance and bubble.
-
9 RepliesWell, if I remember correctly, GG has no Shield. I've splatted on GG users with ease. Its literally the 1 Super that is incredibly Weak.....if you can't hit your shots. Makes sense to me.
-
Should be tier 1
-
It'll get 3 a game if you use nighthawk...
-
Golden gun should be tier 1 silence and squall tier 3. Nova bomb should be tier 4, nova warp and hammers should be tier 3.
-
3 RepliesHow is goldy not low risk it has no super armor
-
1 Reply20+ meter one shot that has no accuracy issues other than player skill. Just because you can be shot down by a good sniper like every other super can doesn’t mean it’s high risk. A dawnblade can’t kill me as easily from a distance.
-
1 ReplyBecause it takes soooooo much skill to use a instakill hitscan super that refunds shots on kill obviously. (Sarcasm for those who didn't catch it)
-
In PvP you should be using Top Tree. I've gotten 4 or more kills a few times with it... They attempted to nerf "insta kill from a safe distance" supers.
-
4 RepliesGG is ultimately lower risk, even without the overshield. You don't have to get up close to anything, whereas Arc Staff - as a melee super - has no choice. Arc staff can get naded, shotgunned, fusioned etc while a GG at range will outgun anything but a sniper or Liner fusion depending on who spots who first. Also against bosses, Arc Staff isn't used that much is it? The infamous stomp mechanic sees to that
-
8 RepliesWell it can over penetrate so couldn’t you technically get 18 with a super if you got that one in a billion situations
-
18 RepliesGg is so bad. The 3 hit one is unbelievable. The other one you can get lucky and spam. Remind me, how many supers have zero over shield?
-
2 RepliesI really wondered about that too. I would love to see the Rational for how they group the supers. It seemed to me to be the less the super is used, the faster it comes up - which is nothing more than "We want you to use A not B or C".
-
2 RepliesMaybe I miss read it, but as I understood it, tier 2 means it will have a faster charge rate than tier 3. So it will be the 2nd fastest super. The real question is why shadow shot (a support super) will have a longer cooldown than other support supers like well and bubble.
-
2 RepliesDoesn’t super gains happen with primary weapon Damage the most? Also doesn’t the hunter golden gun get more super energy just for landing headshots? The base tier might be slower but it has potential. Also there is variance in everyone’s builds this isn’t static intellect etc.
-
Notice where shadowshot is? Some must not know how supers work.
-
2 RepliesTo be honest, every “seventh column” I see in “creations” is using golden gun…
-
Golden gun makes sense as a tier 2. Arcstrider should just be a tier 2 as well. These ability changes are going to be good in the long run, but the next 3 months are going to be a cluster--blam!-. Can guarantee that these changes didn’t get nearly as much testing as they needed. Some stuff will feel terrible and some stuff will be broken beyond belief.

7 RepliesEdited by Spawn Of Apathy: 11/19/2021 7:33:35 PMI assume the only reason it is a tier 2 is because it has no damage mitigation. Otherwise it would be a tier 1 for sure. It’s lethality is unquestionable. It’s the fastest traveling attack for any roaming super, has more range than any roaming super, and each shot will 1-tap a guardian. As for Shadowshot, if it is the one shot tether then yeah, I mean it can kill 1 person. It feels more like a tier 4. Probably the only reason it is a tier 3 is it can suppress, disorient, and debuff a whole bunch of targets at one time. Personally I’d switch Shadowshot with Silence and Squall.

this makes no sense how is goldie on par with daybreak lmfao
-
This just me guessing Arc is more for low tier enemy control where as golden gun is more about gross damage to a single powerful target.
-
1 ReplyEdited by l Xemnas: 11/19/2021 4:39:32 PMMeanwhile nova bomb got shafted with tier 3 while blade barrage and silence and squall are both tier 4.

I can feel all the yeehaw hunters pouring one out in the sunset!
