OK..last week was fun...this week is cancer. Instantly getting 0/5 every match?
Edit to clarify something a lot of people are commenting about: I am not calling for Flawless Matchmaking. If you cant go flawless against Flawless players you do not deserve to go Flawless. My complaint is simply that the matchmaking put me against teams of that calibur from Match 1. This should not happen until I get some wins stacked up on my card.

Totally agree. It's last season all over again. I went flawless once, which was to easy I will admit. I am 'm not God tier but I'm decent and getting to 2 wins after flawless was impossible.

18 RepliesEdited by Nullis: 9/17/2021 10:22:41 PMShatterdive, Vex, Supers, 3 Stacks Need I say more? P.S. Trials engrams slow to a crawl once you hit fable rank. I can't even get past win 2 so far.

6 RepliesFor me winning one match equals flawless..

Edited by Fenty: 9/20/2021 6:44:06 PMBungie implemented with the idea that people would have an easier time getting flawless with matchmaking pool, on paper yes but this kills all replay ability value and quite literally does not affect top tier players AT ALL, only affecting mid tier players and literally went against bungie philosophy of having a reason to stay at higher win cards, nobody wants to go flawless now lol sweats are just resetting at 6 wins

Best weekend ever for trials. Went flawless without being carried.

63 RepliesEdited by Infamous067: 9/18/2021 3:34:08 AMI found out why matchmaking is bad this weekend, apparently streamers and other top players don’t want to que up with other top players. Streamers don’t want a challenge, they want the views. Sweats want to stomp lower skill players to feel good about themselves in a video game. I find it all pathetic, these people love to brag about their stats and their prestige but when bungie actually fixes matchmaking (if it was used as intended), these same sweats cry about it. I find it silly how everyone has a problem with having to face other top players after reaching flawless for the weekend. God forbid you have to try to earn your wins lmao, these are the same toxic players that talk about how they want casuals to have access to trials just so they can stomp them. What the hell is wrong with humanity? How does no one see the real issue here?
-
2 RepliesWhy can´t you just let Trials die and advocate for more Game Modes. Capture the Flag. Sparrow Races. Competetive Parkour.
-
15 RepliesThe reason is the sweats are gatekeeping the noobs, they're playing til 6 wins then resetting their cards to keep away from the flawless MM pool
-
57 RepliesThat's because they're not going flawless. They're resetting at 6 wins because God forbid they play anyone remotely good. They just want to stomp, it's not good for Twitch viewership if they're losing. They want to stomp, plain and simple. Trials is about loot. When you stop making it about loot, which resetting your card is, then you're making it about taking advantage of lower skill players. It's really that simple.

2 RepliesI bet lots of solo players left after being farmed by stacks.

3 RepliesNOT a matchmaking complaint. Commenting from the (novice / noob) side of the fence it looks something like this; Thought I’d go into Trials for the first time this morning just to see what it looked like from first-hand experience. Certainly wasn’t expecting any sort of result apart from satisfying my curiosity. Remember – Novice pvp’er First match was a total mix of 6 and didn’t go too bad. As soon as you meet a “team” as a solo things start to go a bit awry and the more experienced the team, the quicker the defeat. Round 1 Spawn in against a 3 team, make my way to mid map (not running in) and try to find my angle. Glance at radar, team mates are close. Peak – DEAD Round 2 Spawn in, mid map, radar, team mates, peak, radar, team mates, hold on, where the hell have they gone? Team mates – DEAD. Trio collapses. DEAD Round 3 Spawn in, solo long flank as we were getting destroyed mid map, register gun fight in progress so they’ll be distracted. Peak – Destroyed by Mythoclast – DEAD Round 4 Spawn in, mid map, team mates? …. team mates dead by Titan Thundercrash. 1 v 3 errr, runaway, DEAD Round 5 Spawn in (is there any point?) Mid map, team mates, Supered. DEAD I really admire and applaud you guys and girls that can PVP well. Its like some mystic skill set. Unfortunately, communication wouldn’t really be any benefit for me as it’s just another level of information that a novice has to juggle from second to second whilst looking at his radar for enemy and team mates, being aware of their own position, being aware of their cooldowns, etc and that’s before you even consider getting into a gunfight and the physical dexterity, hand-eye coordination and everything else you need to be effective. Oddly enough for some of my matches I’ve ended up just running round trying to keep in a reasonable proximity to my team mates, let alone worrying about getting in gun fights. The best advice that a noob could receive is; Unless you are a generally competent gamer, give Trials a miss because it us brutal, but at least it’s over quickly. As for me. I felt really apologetic towards my team mates, especially the ones that looked like they could REALLY play, but then got saddled with me. Maybe it’s at that stage where people in a pair should be protected from a third who can’t play effectively as that then skews their chances of flawless. Bizarrely enough I got an Eye of Sol from an engram. How cool is that!
-
100% agreed. Last week was hella fun even for solo players like myself. But since I went flawless this week, it is literally impossible (at least for me) to get another flawless because somewehere along the road im always put against 3man stack sweats.
-
Hmm join the club lol, not played d2 this weekend cba I was good at pvp way back when lunas howl not forgotten was comp pinnacles after most hard grinded guns got sun set I left d2, came bk in beyond light then just never really bothered with pvp if I do I ain't trying hard..

4 RepliesI’ve played with my mate all night as a duo and it hasn’t been too bad mostly 3 stacks! but at our skill level So it’s been nice and even. The solos we have had though have been terrible we try to join game chat but they don’t. They just run straight through the middle and get smashed 🥴 then come on here and whine about matchmaking lol Stay with the team or enter team chat and communicate.

1 ReplySame. Flawless pool is zero fun, we went flawless for the first time ever and now it's nearly unplayable. Last weekend was better, and I'm saying that even though we went flawless...I would've rather not have gone to the lighthouse. I know that's probably blasphemy to those who have never been, but it's been that bad
-
I just matched against a 3 stack that intentionally lost the early rounds to not go 5-0. Manipulating the matchmaking.
-
After the 4th win you should not be allowed to reset. After the reset it drops to 3 then 2.

8 RepliesEdited by Epic ways: 9/19/2021 1:32:51 AMGot an idea but many will hate this. Let's put all flawless into the flawless pool including those that went flawless last weekend and make it stay that way till end of season. Punish those who likes to reset card to continue with multiple wins streak for inflating their ego and avoiding flawless pool. And by punishment, take away their Flawless title, their glows and lock the flawless gear mods until they finish their flawless ticket to be moved into the flawless pool where they belong. Where's the challenge if "Trials" are considered "endgame" if you guys don't like teaming up against other flawlesses, huh? Like an expression, "Go pick on your own size!"
*rubs hands eagerly together, waiting for all those who went flawless this season get removed*
Can't say I agree. Went flawless on my first card as a solo on a Saturday night. Pretty average player, I think. I get that there's a bit of luck involved in the matchmaking (which is an entirely different problem), but Trials is fine how it is.
-
24 RepliesThe matchmaking didn’t change for 95% of players. Some in the top 5% decided o ruin the week.
-
Every match. Ummm. First off, do you even try to work as a team? I’m not really good at pvp but I’ve played with a few people who just don’t push when we have advantage, who split up for no reason at the worst time, just bad reasoning overall. 0-5 every match is kind of worrisome. Today I played say 7 or 8 matches, one was 0-5.
-
If you do poorly, you get paired with worse players, play good paired with good players. I don't see a problem with that. But on a flawless ticket where you are in the pool till the end of the season this shouldn't be permitted. For a lot of people, and by that I mean the majority, that gives them one flawless run per season because they will definitely be paired with streaming sweats that make a living on their computers after their first flawless. I don't play trials because of the toxic nature of it, but people are onto something when they say this needs adjusted. There needs to be some sort of exponential growth curve to the skill based matching, not an immediate jump to the most hard-core skill slot as soon as you win ONCE.

2 RepliesEdited by Zeal: 9/18/2021 6:32:59 PMInflated numbers last week due to players wanting to try out revamped Trials, and while you got a decent number of Trials gear drop early which is great especially for new players, it was far from a success as 90% of content creators made it out to be. You had to look at the player count and the drop off week after week...and here we are just one week later cus of how worse the experience has gotten...

Yeah, connection issues between ps and Xbox, getting disconnected and receiving glory mode suspension, it sux ⚽️🎾🥎🎱🏐🏀🏈zzzzz
