As the title says. I've had two crashes since the update today. Just letting you know.

CTD every time. Not more than a couple minutes into the first mission. Drivers all up to date... Intel Core i7-8700K NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 32GB RAM

Edited by MenTaL9R: 8/26/2021 5:16:29 AMSo haven't really played much of Destiny since the start of this year, decided to pick up Beyond Light and this season for Steam and started the game, never even made it to the Tower and it crashed. I guess I'm glad to see other people with the problem too but man... not gonna lie, pretty freaking annoying that after 6 months of hardly touching the game and deciding to give it another try and it crashes regularly. Hope they fix it soon. EDIT: I was crashing just trying to go places, IE the Tower.. game just stops responding. Likely is something to do with BattlEye and the way it behaves. Tonight I had an alert from my Acronis backup software notifying me that it detected it as Malware because it modified files in the back ground while the game is running. I told it to ignore it and I was able to actually play for about an hour without a crash, too small a sample to say that's it but it's promising and none the less it's an improvement for me.

I make sure to keep EVERYTHING up to date, if I get told I've got an update, then I update right then and there, but I crashed twice yesterday, and just now as I'm starting to get into the game, I just crashed twice as well. I'm thinking Bungie is aware of this and they're working on a hotfix for this issue. I'm still going to see if I can play again, but this is going to get annoying if I happen to be in the middle of something and end up crashing as well then too, it'll be the 3rd time it happened.

i was encountering this issue tonight. updated Nvidia drivers, still kept crashing. I did notice every time i logged on i was getting the same notification of sent friend requests (figured it was just an issue with the new bungie friend list system), but i went through and canceled any pending/sent requests so the notification would stop showing up every time i logged on and now my game isn't crashing anymore.

1 ReplyCrashed after 30 seconds in the first mission....then couldn't finish the seasonal activity because it's bugged. C'mon Bungie.
-
3 CTD in 15 min. No errors. Just gone. Turned off GFX Overlay and still having issues.

1 ReplyMy friends and I played Crucible for about 2 hours on Tuesday with no problems. When we hopped into the Prophecy Dungeon I crashed 4 times, now I can't even load into a destination without a crash.
-
I have been crashing constantly. Can't exceed 10 minutes of gameplay before my screen freezes and the game crashed shortly after.
-
I am now having the same issue. Yesterday my game crashed one time and I didn't really think much of it but today I have crashed over 10 times. 3 times was in one instance. I have check my settings on nvidia to see if it has any of the settings that people were saying were causing the crashes and none were on. this is almost unplayable at the amount of crashes I am having at random.

4 RepliesHas Bungie made a statement regarding this topic yet? I get kicked every 2 mins after launching an activity.
-
I only crash during Gambit, the game runs fine everywhere else for me, super strange
-
Has there been any update on this? I legit played 5-6 hours last night post patch with no issues and now today I'm having the same issue everyone here is describing.

Edited by samjnam: 8/26/2021 12:21:30 AMI've been crashing pretty consistently (3x in first mission, Once while running Simulation on Europa, and once while in tower). The game runs fine for a while and it crashes straight to the desktop with no warnings only a freeze of the game. I verified game files and restart my computer. No solution yet. I am trying to update graphics and maybe computer itself, but this has never happened before.

2 RepliesAye, getting crashes myself around 5-10 minutes into the game. Doesn't really matter what I'm doing. Sit in orbit, matchmaking or actively playing. I already uninstalled MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner as suggested by others, manually installed BattlEye services and allowed it through the firewall manually as well. Still crashes. No error messages, no nothing. 10-15 seconds of a frozen image, sound still playing, then a stuttering crash to the desktop ending as if nothing happened.

Battle Eye causing the crash

Same here, I always crash to desktop with no error code after around 5 to 10 minutes of game play, regardless of the activity. I'm running an i9-9900k with an 2080 ti, drivers are fully up to date, I've allowed all battleye .exe files through my firewall, verified file integrity with steam, reinstalled the game, cleared my shader cache, I do not use rivatuner or MSI afterburner, and I have all software overlays disabled, but nothing has fixed the issue. The game is unplayable for me right now, So I guess I'll just have to wait for patch.

Same here game crash every 5 min.
-
Same here, been crashing every 2-4 minutes into the game. Screen just freezes and then crashes to desktop. No error codes, no messages.

3 RepliesEdited by sweetporkbun: 8/25/2021 11:41:40 PM---UPDATE IN COMMENTS--- Turning off MSI Afterburner worked for me. Not ideal, but this is what I got. ------------------------------- Another victim here. I've tried restarting the machine, verifying game files, removing underclocks, capping framerate, updating to latest drivers, to no avail. This is clearly because of the most recent update as I played just the night before and there were no issues. Now I can't play for 5 minutes without the game freezing, then exiting to Windows with no error message. I do noticed that GPU usage seems unusually high. Holding a high 99% even on my RTX 3080. Not normal at all. So there may be some background process that's just running unchecked driving the gpu usage beyond normal.
-
Seriously! It's getting worse.
-
Okay literally almost every time this is happening. I’ll play for maybe a minute or 2 and then my game crashes and doesn’t give an error code. It only started happening after the update and people with better computers are not having these problems.
-
Steps taken that stopped crashing for me. 1. Update Graphics Drivers 2. Verify Local Game files with Steam 3. Restart Computer (Still crashing after reboot) 4. Framerate Caped at 70 FPS (Still crashing) 5. Reduced resolution to 1920x1080 (Still crashing) 6. Reduced Framerate Cap to 60 and All graphics options to Low. After this last step I was able to have stable gameplay for about 3 hours until it crashed again and I logged. All references to crashing were a hard freeze and crash straight to desktop.
-
Same here, never had any issues with Destiny before, but since yesterday PC freezes and than crashes without any error messages. Yesterday it happened just once. Today it crashes constantly, wasn't able to run the game for more than 2-3 minutes until it crashes. This is beyond annoying.
-
My game is still crashing after about 5-10 minutes of play. Whenever i play i just to a planet it crashed or whenever i make it too the planet and play it crashed i have done every solution to try and fix this but it seems too still crash
-
Having a similar issue here, sometimes I'm able to load in past character select but then my game crashes, my screen goes black, and my monitor says there's no input. Usually followed by my computer having to restart. No idea what's going on, but it's the worst crashing I've ever had
-
for me the solution was to unlink PSN and only leave STEAM as a plateform on BNET. never crashed after that and run full VoG etc..
