Anarchy nerf is necessary, it's the king of power creep.
Why use that cool new roll you got on your buffed machine gun next season when you can use Anarchy that shits on everything and then some.

This is what makes me laugh about posts like these and people defending nerfs. Yes, you say a lot of very sensible things about “power creep” and how it “needs” to be nerfed, but let’s be honest… you’ll happily use the next OP gun as soon as it comes along, and once you’re bored with it you’ll get up on the soapbox and agree with the inevitable nerf that follows. All the while the rest of us who are having a perfectly good time using whatever the hell we want roll our eyes helplessly because there’s not a damn thing we can do about it. It’s such an annoyingly stupid cycle.

You want to claim it's overpowered? Sure But if you don't understand a term like power creep please don't use it...

I had enough spoils to purchase and I wont since I didn't get from the raid. Also I'm not a big fan of nerfs, but all this crying about it is worth it. The best part is, all the complaining isn't going to change anything

Because in a supposedly “RPG” game DoT effects are crucial, and anarchy is the ONLY heavy weapon that applies damage over time. So have fun shooting 5 rockets at a champion instead of applying steady damage over time without being one shot.

5 RepliesJust wait a few weeks, then you all will say that Xenophage needs a nerf... Anarchy is a boss melter sure, but it gets boring, fast! Leave it be or lower the reserves and buff other exotic heavies instead? Why don't they make The Prospector shoot sticky granades, that chain fire to one another, like Anarchy? How bad-ass would that be? Returnal has the fire/solar version of Anarchy and it's pretty darn cool, if I say so myself.

2 RepliesHave to hard disagree. I have had Anarchy since SOTP came out. This season is the only season I have really used it. The only reason I use it now it because of the seasonally mods and the only time I use it is for GMs. They take away the mod and I’ll be switching right back to rocket launchers in GMs.

people use anarchy cuz 1 its worth spending that exotic slot 2 if you dont want me to use Anarchy then make worth while weapons instead of the meh we get 3 I had to farm, and i mean countless SotP runs and not freebee coins, that moda-blam!-ing them and Illl use it and shit on every boss I wish

So many people seem to undermine why Anarchy is actually used... Anarchy dps alone is trash, but its passive dps that ends up just being free damage. You don't just use Anarchy, you use Anarchy with something. What about its add clear? Well, it's fine, not the king of killing majors unless they're stuck with it, but itll kill trash mobs like any other heavy weapon in the game. Yeah, sure. Anarchy is a jack of all trades. But its sure as hell not a master in any of them. I don't care either way, only time I use it in recent times is sticking it onto templar when I'm using the relic, otherwise, I use Deathbringer.

2 RepliesI think most agree Anarchy could use some toning down but a lot of us are worried Bungie will go overboard on the nerfs. The current state of The Lament after its nerfs give me a bit of hope they won't but Bungie has a habit of surprising in the wrong ways.
