Whys has no effort or attention been put into gambit yet loot and quests are consistently being made for it. Why do the teams IN THE LEAD get invades when summoning a primeval? Why do you get invades at 25,50,75 JUST FOR BANKING MOTES. There should be ONE strategic invade.... ONE not 5-6 Why do invaders not have a set of tailored moves and weapons' becoming taken with slightly altered abilities like in last wish? A teleport a projectile and AOE bomb? Certain suggestions are so painfully simple it makes people think your studio is lazy or inept. What happened to we updated the games systems so changes can come quicker that seemed to be true in the first 2-4 weeks then it stopped. I played 15 gambit games and got ONE Bottom dollar ......WHAT?!?!?! and you know what the roll was?HIP FIRE GRIP AND THRESH ARGGDGDGDVHTDVSDHV?!?!?!?! loot drops were supposed to have been changed. Raw RNG does not work for this game with this amount of weapons' in the pool. PLEASE add bounties that allow you to farm for weapons there's no reason not to do this for all playlists its shocking to me how many things destiny 2 does wrong that destiny 1 did correctly its really sad.

2 RepliesPersonally I would get rid of Gambit and bring back a reworked Menagerie. At least you had targeted loot to chase and was way more fun than gambit.

6 RepliesGambit needs a new mode where teams are racing to a finish line against each other. - think infinite forest where you have to kill all adds in an area to open a gate to the next area. - each team would face a primeval encounter to open the last gate - once a team's last gate is open they enter a showdown area and a timer starts for the other team to open their last gate, if they don't open the last gate in time they lose. - the team that opens their last gate first gets tactical advantage over the enemy team by choosing where to position themselves in preparation for the enemy team entering the showdown area. - but even if your team doesn't get the last gate open first you can still beat the clock, enter the showdown area and kill the enemy team for the win.

Adds are overtuned, large blockers are annoying af and first team to get theirs up wins 9 times out of 10, and the result of matches is way too predictable. Gambit is just a giant fustercluck right now.

1 ReplyThe spawn rate of meatball is just absurd right now. It’s like a 70-80% spawn rate. Way too often.

11 RepliesOne of the (many) problems with Gambit, and honestly, every other area of Destiny as well, is the Bounty system. You get handed bounties that force you to be the least effective member on your team just to complete, or even worse, actively harm your team's chances at victory. Why do we need so many bounties that require specific types of kills, specific elemental kills, specific subclass kills? Trying to force people to play things they don't usually play rarely gets that person to actually enjoy it, and when it's only making the game mode worse for them and everyone else, why does Bungie continue to rely so heavily on it? I love when I get a handful of bounties are just generic "kill 50 enemies" or "get 20 precision kills". These are things everyone is doing, or trying to do, regardless of the game mode. But when you tell me to specifically get Trace Rifle or Linear Fusion kills, you're forcing me to ignore my build/playstyle for no reason.

I absolutely HATE the mote drain mechanic. Also agree with what you said.
-
2 RepliesBeing good at gambit mostly comes down to strategy and timing. About the only things they should change, is the more drain needs to be a 2 to 1 ratio instead of 1 to 1. As it sits now losing 5 motes doesn't put you at a 5 more deficit, but a 10 mote deficit since your team loses 5 and they gain 5. The other thing is the amount of motes to summon the prime evil. They need to push it up to either 150 or 200. This way you have more time to work on bounties and it spreads out invasions. Oh and this annoying mechanic that was good in gambit prime, but got messed up in "new" gambit. In prime a stacked team got more majors and mini bosses and this was to help balance the game for solo players. However in new gambit, if one team is stacked, then both get tougher enemies instead of the stacked team.

3 RepliesSteadily becoming garbage? We're you been?
-
*clears throat* ....always has been
-
1 ReplyDon’t know why people are allowed to invade when they’re melting there primeval and the other team hasn’t even summoned theirs yet.
-
It was dead a long time ago ! Bungie please just put it out of its misery already 🤷🏼♂️

I like Gambit.

Someone needs a hug

1 ReplyThe blueberries are becoming more garbage. Nothing wrong with gambit. It’s the dumbasses that go in it and are clueless.

5 RepliesEdited by MontyCora: 6/25/2021 4:11:53 AMGambit in theory is the best and most fun mode in all of Destiny. It's an absolute shame that the mode has been allowed to fall into this lousy, broken, worst of all worlds version we have now. The worst part is that the very best version of Gambit would be relatively easy to realize, with changes and systems that already exist in the game or engine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AOgiGnAcaA&t=1420s There's easy simple elegant fixes to LITERALLY every single problem Gambit currently faces. The only question is will this exciting new era of Bungie that listens to the fans and ejects sunsetting and wants the game to be the best the game can be... Will they listen? Will they dedicate resources to fixing Gambit? God I hope so.

10 RepliesI remember when the last Season just started and all the Streamers are presented Bottom Dollar as a great Handcannon, yet I haven´t seen allmost anyone that using Bottom Dollar in Crucible or Trials matches!? It´s simply becouse it is impossible to get a Godroll! What´s the meaning of the nice Weapon that is allmost impossible to get? Looter Shooter...yeah sure

Steadily?
-
3 RepliesYes it , I find it absolutely hilarious that 2 out of the 3 so called core activities have not been touched in 2 years. Other than stripping them down to nothing.
-
Edited by hyperpool: 6/24/2021 12:52:14 PMits been garbage for a long time. but doesn't earn bungie extra cash so won't get the time put into it
-
2 RepliesOnly problem I have with gambit is overpowered enemies and ur char feels like a grandad with a zimmer frame though you're mobility is at 100+ but u move slow asf. Enemies are a joke cause they hit worse than a day1 raid comp. Double tapped by a Knight chasing ur ass and nearly a 1 tap dome shot from a sniper vandal and u wonder if ur mods/high resilience are actually any use to anything. cant see bungo doing anything at all to fix it
-
When was the last time anyone at Bungie actually talked about Gambit?
-
If you don’t bank 15 and 10 you’re throwing.
-
Gambit always sucked. It had ONE THING going for it. Then they unnecessarily sunset it.
-
Well, since I'm good at Gambit, my only complay is the lack of better loot. Apart from that, keep the good work, Bungie lol
-
2 RepliesBungie needs to remove any invade and get guardian kills tasks from the game; and then implement a stat tracker in gambit similar to crucible prior to starting a match. From there the team should have to vote on one player to be designated invader. That player will only then have access to invade throughout the match. This will avoid blueberries invading and dying because they aren’t sure what to do, while ensuring there is no penalization to other players while only one can invade.
