Per bungies statement on stasis needing a nerf “we don’t want crucible to just be ability spam” why do you keep having bounties that require an overzealous use of abilities in both iron banner and regular crucible?
Considering how nerfed hunter melee is across the board, this is a bit painful.

Blade barrage and spectral blades give more progress and lower your light for more. Don't go for grenades or melee because you aren't helping anyone or yourself. Its not hard mate, can be tedious but not hard.

1 ReplyI have a couple tips, if you just want to do them as fast as possible, and don’t care about being bad: 1. Tank your power level, to around 1300 on purpose. This gives more progress per kill, and pretty much everymethod I’ll give can still work at a slight power disadvantage. 2. From my experimentation, uncharged melees also count as ~3% progress, but if you follow rule 1, you might not be able to pull off a double melee consistently. 3. Hunter: use 6 shot golden gun, perhaps with high intellect. Explosive knife/grenades can get some quick kills, and gg can get crazy multi kills if you time it right. Gg will still kill while underleveled. 4. Warlock: assuming you have already completed your zone capturing bounty, use the storm trance tree that allows for grenades to chain, and rush enemy zone first thing with a grenade (I prefer arc bolt). I can usually get multiple kills depending on the map. Dead cliffs, endless vale work best. 5. Titan: sunspot titan+Jotunn. Jotunn creates sunspots which count as ability kills, and creating one on a zone or at a choke point can get lots of kills. Jotunn will kill even when extremely underleveled, which helps as well. The super can also get easy kills. Hope this helps.

It's ridiculous amount really. Every IB we have this same complaint, and Bungie fails to adjust the required amount of ability kills. Instead of encouraging gunplay, the bounty encourages ability spam.

2 RepliesIf i can do it...anyone can.

2 RepliesAllthough I agree it is painful, especially for someone as bad as me, I don't think we need free handouts. Maybe all. The effort I'm putting in will finally start to show and I'll be more than a sub-mediocre player and bottom tier hunter (my 3rd character)

This step isn’t hard, but IMO it needs rescaling to take similar time to others and in my experience that means length needs to be cut in half. Maybe if you just run around as Titan shoulder charging whole time then it takes less time, but warlock/hunter have less easy choices on that front.

Throwing knifes are your best bet

Edited by Hawpy: 6/12/2021 11:05:00 PMPSA for all the Warlocks - remember that top-path Stormcaller exists. If you're close enough to make a beeline for the enemy's first flag, throwing a Storm Grenade will usually net an easy triple kill and pretty much refund the grenade. The grenade does up to about 160 damage in two parts and each chain lightning tick hits for 28. It's not quite what it used to be, but players have long since forgotten to be wary of it.

And just run high intellect and try super spam as much as possible, then you’ll blast through it

Super kills give more progress, I used blade barrage with star eater scales that way I was getting about 2 supers per match and getting at least one kill per super.

1 ReplyJust use Titan with shoulder charge, Monte Carlo, and skullfort helm. Easy.

2 RepliesOh dude they did. It went by SO MUCH QUICKER this time around then the last iron banner.
-
6 RepliesYou have to kill 100 people with abilities. That’s more than any quest line in crucible as far as I know.
-
5 RepliesEdited by EternityGold0: 6/12/2021 2:15:06 AMBut its not hard. 6 to 7 games max

3 RepliesYou'll get it done eventually. I would recommend arc staff with Shinobus vow. Then when you get your super swap to radian flux.

Weighted throwing knife, gamblers dodge, ophidian spathe, endless throwing knives also super kills get it done easy
