VOG Weapons
Dear Bungie,
I really hoped I wouldn't be saying this but I am. I guess I should've known better than to put my hopes up.
Once again, a new raid (albeit retro raid) is released and once again there is not a complete set of weapons to spread around 3 Guardians.
Leaving out Atheons Epilogue, Praedyths Timepiece and Praetorian Foil was incredibly disappointing, not to mention the fact once again the Kinetic Slot has only two to choose from.
Please can you reinstate AE, PT and PF back into Vault of Glass and put at least one of either AE or PT in the Kinetic Slot.

I’m glad vault is back and all, but Bungie needs to put more effort into this sort of thing. Bring back all the gear, not just some.

Weapon loot pool should be bigger, keep getting machine gun. Also armor drops seem to be less likely than weapons?

10 RepliesPT and PF I can get behind, but keep in mind that AE’s auto rifle archetype doesn’t exist in D2. We don’t have 900 rpm auto rifles. And also incoming hot take here - I really don’t think we need the other two. We already have messenger and gridskipper and other super good pulse rifles, and we got two new fusions this season that are already pretty good. I’m fine with the ones they chose to bring back, and I think they did a really good job on the perk options for them as well.

Was really only wanting to get the foil since there’s no solar legendary high impact fusion in the game. Not sure why they were left out

4 RepliesHonestly idk how they’d bring back AE, that archetype doesn’t exist anymore and if they did bring it back as a 750, reckless oracle is a 750 void like AE would be. Praetorian foil and praedyths timepiece would be nice though, rapid fire pulses are good and we don’t have that many. Another high impact fusion that could roll reservoir burst would be appreciated

Corrective Measure belonged to an archetype not available in Destiny 2. And many other weapons that have made the leap to D2 have had archetype changes including... The Supremacy, Uzume RR4, The Swarm, Suros Regime’s default RoF etc. There were 5 (yes five) machine gun archetypes in Destiny 1. High-Rate of Fire: High-rate of fire machine guns have a Rate of Fire value of 100. Examples include Diluvian 10/4x, IF MATERIA~ and Song of Ir Yût. Medium-high-Rate of Fire: Medium-high-rate of fire machine guns have a Rate of Fire value of 88. Examples include Unending Deluge III, Corrective Measure and Super Good Advice. Medium-Rate of Fire: Medium-rate of fire machine guns have a Rate of Fire value of 77. Examples include The Silvered Dread, Zombie Apocalypse WF47 and Baron's Ambition. Medium-Low-Rate of Fire: Medium-low-rate of fire machine guns have a Rate of Fire value of 66. Examples include Qullim's Terminus, Thunderlord and Nemesis Star, The Swarm. Low-Rate of Fire: Low-rate of fire machine guns have a Rate of Fire value of 59. Examples include Jolder's Hammer, Against All Odds and Bane of the Taken.

Agreed.I was looking foward to getting the auto rifle but was very dissappointed to see that it was not brought back but they brought back the stupid hand cannon.I saw in collections that we have more exotic hand cannons than any other weapon and the same thing with the normal weapons in collections(73 hand cannons,68 auto rifles,64 pulse and scouts,every other weapon is even lower).I'm honestly so sick of seeing more hand cannons being added,Sorry started going of topic there but yes when Bungie bring back an old raid they should bring back all weapons and armour from that raid.

2 RepliesA part of me thinks that they might actually introduce them in hard mode, since Praedyths Timepiece and Praetorian Foil were hard mode only drops if I remember correctly. Still though I'm 90% sure this won't be the case sadly, just hope they can bring them back later or at least give us a reason to why they did not bring them back.

1 ReplyTheres vog master mode coming out later. Its a well known bungie convention to split a weapon set between normal and hard mode raids. So, id just hang tight and you will probably get them.

1 ReplyThey just added a new low impact energy pulse rifle, low impact kinetic auto rifle, and a pinnacle fusion, albeit a low impact too (praetorian foil was high impact). Coincidence that these three aren’t included? I think not. Unfortunate, but such is the nature of a shooter looter. Personally I like gridskipper. Chroma rush is cool, but would have been cool to have a 720 rpm atheon’s epilogue energy slot.... but null composure is a let down.

We have enough slow firing arc pulses and Praetorian Foil wouldn't stepped on the feet of Null Composure this season, but I do miss Atheons Epilogue. That was the first VOG gun I got in D1.

2 RepliesI think a lot of people assume for AE and timepiece the issue is that the archetypes aren't things anymore. They'd have to rework the weapon. Personally, I think it would have been cool to see some newer stuff from it but whatevs. At least one of the kinetics is fatebringer.
