I'm not sure if it'll come up later in the season but our entire introduction feels... As if we've never met eachother before
Whatever happened to veteran dialogue for stuff? You'd think in that cutscene where a dreg asked if we can be trusted he'd say either yes if we spared him/aided him in zero hour or "I'm not sure" if we killed or didn't do zero hour
You can't see his mouth movie so all you have to do is play a single different line of dialogue..
I just feel like Mithrax is such a big character in part to our action's with him. Saving him felt like what triggered his journey to become what he is today and it's completely untouched upon
I just wish my achievements in D2 were remembered you know?

2 RepliesHell, forget Mithrax, Lakshmi-2 is there acting like we’ve never met her before. My full set of FWC ornaments and emblems says otherwise. F*cking lazy. I didn’t think I’d be this ticked off at all the nonsense so far this season, but this is the first time I’m legitimately regretting buying one. This is a train wreck.

Beyond Light deleted his memory along with 80% of the game. It's for the rolling door of new, short-term players. None of what we did matters now since Beyond Light. Only short-term story telling for the revolver door of noobs doing a lap of the front foyer before leaving again. Get the newbies in, get their money from a Season or two, kick them to the kerb. Rinse and repeat with a new set of newbies. Bungie's current business model.

He says a guardian saved him and that gave him faith in the light. He probably doesn’t know that guardian is us.
-
Because he doesn’t remember you lol
-
1 ReplyIf I am not mistaking, He was looking for us as well. We remember him because we saved him or let him live. More than once. Are you annoyed he doesn't remember you specifically because he definitely didn't remember me either :(.
-
5 RepliesMy guy, you only see him for like, 1 mission. Now, 3-4 years later (canonically) you expect him to remember us again when we are wearing different armor and weapons? My guy, he ain’t a bloodhound who can track a scent, he’s just a dude.
-
It may have been us sparing him that led him to leading House Light, but its not like we were firmly on his side or anything. We just… didn’t kill him. Never spoke a word. Sure we kind of helped each other in Zero Hour, but in a way we just mercilessly massacred dozens of Eliksni in order to get a powerful SIVA weapon for ourselves before our common enemy could take it. Again… saying nothing. We just killed a bunch of Eliksni, somewhat aided by Mithrax, so we could get a cool gun. Given all that, “I don’t know” is a pretty reasonable answer imo
-
1 ReplyBecause the armor and weapons you were wearing/using at the time got sunset
-
Probably all of the ether he been huffing.
-
3 RepliesDon't forget bungie completely erased the D1 Rise of Iron storyline. Lord Saladin never once refers to us an "Iron Wolf" or "Young Wolf". And the fact that the damage caused by the House of Devil Splicers to the codmodrome isn't there Destiny 2 (it was in previous missions in D2 but not once the Cosmodrome was re-released)
-
Its not mithrax. Its Jigsaw in a fallen suit. Don’t go down the hole you will end up chopping your own leg off with a hacksaw Once you hear it cannot be unheard
-
6 RepliesGranted in Destiny we play as a mute man who never shows his face and changes armor regularly. I'm surprised anyone recognizes us at all.
-
To be fair, I’m willing to bet a lot of players accidentally killed Mithrax in his introductory quest. Feels like a better move to go with a clean slate instead of having an awkward conversation about how you shot him in the head.
-
I doubt we look the same or use the same weapons. And we never talk so...

Well to be fair I wouldn’t recognise my Guardian from back then either, it’s hardly like we were showing our face or have kept the same armour.
-
At least he remembers Titan. From an Override ending:
Once, a Guardian decided not to pull the trigger, and spared my life.
Still doesn’t say it’s us. Darn content vault.
-
One of the new seasonal event end of mission dialogue bits is him talking about how a Guardian he met didn’t pull the trigger, he references it but it’s not a something he makes a big deal out of. I think he will reference Sjur Eido more because she played a more pivotal role in his journey, we just decided not to kill him and he’s that effected his life in massive ways but it isn’t like we knew who he was or he knew who we were, we just chose not to and he continued his journey. I hope we do hear more of it though it would be cool, but I’m more curious about his relationship with Sjur

With every story that lacks consistency, doesnt make sense and gets jumbled up.... just throw in "time traveling"... it masks all the problems above.
-
5 RepliesI rolled my eyes at this too, Bungie has never been consistent when it comes to this stuff. Just another thing that makes this season suck
-
Hes a busy man.
-
Because Bungie breaks their own canon repeatedly. In Rise of Iron we became an Iron Lord/Lady yet it says Lord Saladin is the last one.
-
Guardians constantly change their appearance. How would he remember you.
-
19 RepliesI kinda feel like this is a good thing though. I mean when things are movable like this, it gives so much room to create your own story! And it feels so much more valid since nothing is like, rock solid in this world. You can practically be anyone you want, do whatever you want! But maybe that’s just me as a writer lol

1 ReplyJesus, how many friggin' screw-ups, inconsistencies and objective flaws is it gonna take until this man gains functioning eyeballs? HAH!

He's a big fan of the Happy meal.
