Is it the overwhelming number of hunter players? Does Bungie just favor hunters more? I can't pin the reason why it has always been this way. Why?
Personally, I'm not looking for new armor, I've got a pretty good look for my titan already. But I still don't understand why even warlock armor suffers a bit when compared to how the hunter armor sets look.
Anybody have any ideas as to why this may be? Or do you agree with one of the suggestions above?
Of course, this whole topic is subjective, so I don't mind if someone thinks the titan or warlock set looks best out of the three from this upcoming season (Season of the Splicer). All constructive replies are appreciated!

1 ReplyThis and the jump mechanic are why there are so many hunter mains.

For Warlocks the chest piece takes up most of the design. Plus the helmets are crappy. Harder to change up the look when most of your “canvas” is one piece in the middle.

unbiased opinion: hunter armor generally looks better because its hard to mess up. its standard size armor with a bit of rag tag style. since the launch of d2 bungie's art team forgot how to make titans look clean, built and proportional. i can't even explain what they've done to warlocks.. too much armor? I've noticed more armor plates on d1 sets that make them look substantially worse. i think in general warlocks are being OVER stylized to the point of goofiness and titans are extremely overbuilt. can't even play as a male titan or you'll look like a walking metal trash can 😂

One word: Hoods

Because everybody at Bungie headquarters are a bunch of Hunter Fanboys

6 RepliesEdited by Skandxr: 5/7/2021 4:43:40 PMBecause bungie knows Hunter mains are sweaty greasy haired manlets who can’t dress irl so they can compensate by looking good in game

Money. More hunter characters means focusing on sets for those characters will be more profitable than focusing on the other 2 classes. Ever notice how the hunter is standing front and center in almost all the armor promos and ads?

I’m just trying to figure out why Titans always have to have semi trucks for shoulders. Even though I have my own theory. They don’t want us making Titans look like a character that was VASTLY more badass chief. LOL
-
3 RepliesThat have to give them good armor. If they didn’t, this would happen: 1. All the hunters would whine that they got terrible armor (all hunters do is whine) 2. Bungie would apologize and give them a buff to stasis.
you know I’m right
While we are on the topic of armor, how come titans never get helmets with glowing parts?

3 RepliesD1 Hunter armor was by far the best ever.
-
Cause hunters are frabjous duh

4 RepliesI think it’s because Hunter clothing and Hunter bodies are the closest thing to human stuff, so it’s the easiest thing for Bungie to do. With Warlock, you need to worry about flaps and helmets. With Titans, you need to worry about the chest piece and shoulder pads. But with Hunters, you just need to make a good looking cloak, which seems to be easy.

It's the cape, guaranteed. Take all the class items out, and hunter doesn't look as good, almost ever.
-
Most of the hunter armor looks ugly to me, its all clothing and no actual armor or I have some random long nose for a helmet or im basically bald with one cloak. Idk thats just me.

Edited by AdligerAdler: 5/7/2021 8:50:12 PMSo you are telling me you don't like silly horns on your helmet, thick chunky boots and long wide bathrobes? Me neither. That's why I only wear robes/coats that are slim and shorter and never Jesus goddamn Chist ever asymmetric abomination robes. Maybe we don't say this often, but us Warlocks like to be fashionable too. It's just harder for us to achieve.

It's because Luke Smith's team was predominantly Hunters. Some folks say Bungie doesn't play their own game. The problem with it is that they DID play their own game. And they had their personal favorites and the things they liked. It just so happened they liked Hunters. Majority of Luke's staff was Hunters. So Hunters got the best gear, in both mechanics and in looks. Majority of their team liked hand cannons, which is why no matter the meta, hand cannons have ALWAYS been at or above the current meta. Majority of their team liked shotguns, which is why they made them so ungodly strong for what they are. They're meant to be an anti-push tool, but Smith's team enjoyed them so much they made them push tools, anti-push tools, camper security systems, and rush tools. Thankfully, the new guy in charge has been making plenty of decent changes and he's got a whole different team too. Can't wait for warlock and titans to catch up in terms of style.

6 RepliesI honestly think the titans sets from mars are the best. Those two sets specifically were the most like actual combat suits that looked awesome at the same time. Warlocks have very few though. I think warlocks should be given a little love in the armor department.
nibbles crayon
I guess the armor just really hates warlocks. Which sucks, because I’m a warlock main. I miss my D1 armor. 😂

Edited by Braun: 5/7/2021 4:00:38 AMThe new titan and warlock gear are just awful. I won’t be giving any of my money if they keep hiring trash designers for the season pass armor. Having good looking gear was the only reason I bought the pass once and I won’t be buying it again until it have something normal.

It doesn’t you’re just a closet Hunter
-
Cause we're able to dodge ugly trees, in the ugly forest called Fenchurch.
-
Tbh all Hunters look same-y and boring to me.
-
2 RepliesIt's the hood&cape. Once you're used to them the sets aren't that nice
-
I think most hunters look a bit silly to be completely honest
-
Yeah come over to the dark side and be a Hunter main. Problem Solved... lol
-
I play all but Warlock Main. Completly Agree Hunter looks best. Warlock just meh most the Time...really crappy Helmets. Titans...ugly as f...
