I don't understand why the Solstice Armour doesn't work in the Future. It works now - I have it applied to other armour sets right bloody now. As others have said, Bungle is simply doing this to re-sell it to us again.

I don’t think you understand how the 2019 solstice glows work. They aren’t universal ornaments like the 2020 solstice set. You had to earn the full legendary set of solstice armor (which was at a time where universal ornaments didn’t exist) and the elemental glows had to be individually applied as an ornament to those armor sets. Annoying? Yes, but they looked sick as -blam!- so it was worth it. So now, the issue is you can’t apply an ornament to an ornament. That’s what Transmog does - it turns armor into ornaments, rather than making a new system entirely where armor’s appearance can be fully equipped separately from what you’re wearing. So rather than Bungie turning those solstice glows into separate, unique ornaments that can be applied on their own, instead they’ve just given up on them. That’s why they won’t work, is because Bungie is too lazy to put effort into anything.

I have the Full Solstice Set on my Titan! I applied them like an Ornament on an existing set. I get the Glow with the Color being dependent on what Element I am. So we are already here. Why does Bungle need to re-invent the wheel on this crap?
