That’s just bad luck. The odds are like 1 in 8. For me this season:
- Run 23 (Warlock)
- Run 9 (Titan)
- Run 4 (Hunter)
It’s all RNG, and when solo it’s heavily weighted towards the new exotics if it’s that week. The drop rate is so low to keep fireteams from just melting though them to farm light levels early in the season.
The game’s a grind. If you don’t like grind you should probably find a different game to play. Bungie doesn’t respect time, that’s something they need to work on, but you’re complaining about one of the best modes they introduced in a long time.

Not sure if people can't read or they they just don't know. But the exotics only drop when you run the legendary or master lost sector solo. Period. If an exotic happens to drop for you when your in a Fireteam then it's just luck that you get from killing a yellow bar that you can get anywhere in the game. FYI
