Controller/Console players need some QoL changes Bungie

[b](I’m posting this again because I think it’s important ... so yeah 👍)[/b] [b]- Higher camera sensitivity for console players. [/b] (It feels really slow even at the highest sensitivity setting and I think a change like this is necessary especially since cross-play is on the horizon.) [b]- Control over Aim-Assist Strength with controller. [/b] (Been having lots of trouble with aim assist lately moving my aim way too far in one direction or off target which can be frustrating) [b]- Control over menu cursor speed [/b] (For some reason the menu cursor on console isn’t very consistent with its speed. I find that it moves slower on some menus and faster in others. For example: the menu cursor moves a bit faster on the Europa map but slower on the Nessus map? Idk why but once you play for a while you really start to notice it.) These are just a few things I think will make the game feel way better on console. There are probably a lot more things that can be improved so just comment below some more QoL changes :) (CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK 🤩)

  • I would also like to add: -Traction as gameplay option I’m fine sacrificing a scavenger for a traction mod in PvP, as it really helps on controller, but losing a scav in PvE is pretty bad if you’re running a special and heavy, and it ruins muscle memory to switch it all the time for PvE and PvP. -ADS sens multiplier This is huge because recoil is increased for controller players. Changing your sensitivity determines how much you have to pull back on the right stick to co from recoil, however, if you need a low senstitivity to control recoil best, you are forced to use that even when not ADS’d. If these changes were implemented I would actually consider playing against some MnK players.

      • Also separat sensitivity into movement sensitivity and ads sensitivity. I would like to adjust each one in it‘s own.

      • I wish we could have separate sensitivity for ads and hipfire. I would love to up my hipfire sensitivity but if i change it i cant shoot a gun straight

        Aim/movement deadzone sliders Horizontal/vertical ads and non-ads sensitivity sliders Sniper scope sensitivity slider Aim acceleration slider Traction and fastball toggle Aim assist will always screw up when multiple enemies are your line of sight unless bungie goes above and beyond with aim assist settings, like overwatch.

        Yeah im on series S and the FoV is a really nice addition but ive had to bump my sensitivity up from 7 to 9 to counter such heavy Aim Assist at 100 FoV. Ive brought this up before tbh and i just dont get how they messed around with Aim Assist so much even Halo never had this much AA. PvP isnt TOO bad since its mostly individual players youre fighting, maximum two to three enemies on screen. But PvE, where theres a lot of enemies on the screen... My curser pretty much moves by itself. Would like to have the ability to tune the Aim Assist down on individual weapon types or just have the ability to lower Aim Assist, via armour mods that don't affect bullet Magnetism.

      • It's not just controller that need sensitivity changes. Mouse and keyboard is also lacking severely when it comes to sensitivity options. Bungie absolutely needs to add sensitivity options similar to what overwatch has for both mouse and keyboard and controller. The fact they don't use decimal sensitivity in 2021 is pathetic.

      • Imma just say it now, PvE aim assist is way to damn strong. Depending on the weapon you have equipped, trying to do something like throw a precise stasis turret or a heal grenade can be ruined because something passes by your cross hairs. In PvE, there is no reason to have that much hand holding. As it is, bullet magnetism is incredibly annoying on bows as well because when you try to get a really tight shot over a piece of cover, the arrows have a tendency to try and hit the center mass of a shank or the crit spot of those small shield scorn bums. In this weeks GM, in the arc tunnel section, the bows example is very obvious. Any other weapon will hit the shank about where you aim, but the arrows tend to drive a bit down to hit the center mass if a shank that cannot be seen.

        • Got to be honest this is one the best feeing FPS games I ever played. That’s why I keep playing. Great feel, great gun play, unfortunately it’s constantly over shadow by annoying crap like stasis.

          • I have a pro controller, and by messing with the advanced settings I kinda made my ADS sense a 6 while my hipfire sense is a 10. It feels really nice to be able to turn fast while running but not over flick an ad by 10 feet, I wish it was actually in the game settings

              I havent played an FPS with a controller in years and wish people on PC were pushed to use the intended input but to be fair the controller support in destiny is terrible. When I got on fortnite and call of duty and saw options for dead zones and aim assist scaling algorithms I knew destiny was behind the times, with just whole number sensitivity and nothing else. I feel like going back and forth between destiny and another fps would be horrific

              • The "Aim Assist" is becoming a joke, nothing worse than lining up a boss etc only for your sights to be dragged 90° left or right because some low level enemy runs past your sights.

                • I think that the only real change need is to split the ADS sensitivity and the base sensitivity. At least that way shotguns might not rule console in high end crucible to the same extent. The aim assist is never going to happen. The reason is because aim assist is a mechanic in this game, not a user setting. Aim assist is actively used to differentiate weapons from each other. Maybe an on/off setting could work (?) The menu selector is a bit of a trivial request. I agree that it would be a nice change but it's too insignificant to merit attention.
