I don't really see how that happened with these old civilizations. The ancient civilizations in South and Central America died off simply because the Europeans were more advanced and were able to overtake them. The Romans were spread too far and were susceptible to attack which led to their downfall. "Gender deterioration" wasn't really a cause.
