The perk Celerity is geared solely for Trials and cannot be utilized in the vast majority of other game modes. Every other perk in the game has some utility in most (if not all) other game modes. It feels like a wasted perk slot as noone wants to intentionally be the last living member of a fireteam.
As a person who struggles in Trials, I was ecstatic that I was able to go Flawless this week for Igneous Hammer. Unfortunately, I may never use the drop I got as the last column is wasted with Celerity. Bungie, please make a change so it doesn't feel like a let down to go Flawless.
Why not make Celerity an intrinsic perk on Adept Trials Weapons? or Trials weapons in general for that matter? The perk is only useful in Trials so it would motivate people to use the Trials weapon over the world drop equivalent weapon. As it is now taking a perk slot, Celerity makes a weapon arguably worse than a non Trials weapon with any other perk.
Swoop in and change Celerity in the perk slot to another perk like what was done on Coldfront. We've seen you can do it, so please do it again.
When even the sweatiest Trials mains and hardcore Destiny content creators dont want the perk Celerity, its time to make a change. C'mon Bungie, I believe in you!

Celerity and bottomless grief should be intrinsic on trial and nightfall weapons
-
Does bottomless grief work in solo play? Has it been tested?
-
Edited by CeramicSugar248: 2/24/2021 3:31:07 PMSounds more like you didn't like your reward , welcome to RNG You knew before jumping in it was a possible perk that could roll .
-
1 ReplyIt needs to work in solo pve such as master lost sectors
-
1 ReplyDid they make 3 wins in a row flawless now? Am I missing something?
-
Bottomless Grief is also kind of like that, but it is a little better since refilling the mag is better than +5 to a few stats.
-
2 RepliesI mean adept weapons can be utter garbage just because of a perk seems like they need to throw out random rolls on all adept weapons trials is one of those things that’s tough enough to go flawless once much less multiple times
-
2 RepliesJust like the bad exclusive IB perks on IB guns
-
2 RepliesCelerity is useless even in trials. It’s a get shit on roll. My sniper with hip fire grip and celerity got the palm.
-
Or they just add permanent damage buff in that perk maybe something like one stack rampage?
-
5 RepliesEdited by NYDIBS: 2/23/2021 3:11:14 AMSo you’re upset bc you paid for a carry and got celery
-
Edited by Law: 2/23/2021 11:57:04 AMEasiest way to change celerity perk. At base it's 50% of the perks benefit, 1 death is 75% and last man standing is 100%. This will make celerity a desired perk
-
68 Replies“As a person who struggles in trials” ....same breath ....“ I was able to go flawless and get an igneous hammer “. I wish I struggled as bad you ......... you don’t know struggle if going flawless is even a remote possibility for you. What a clown. What you should have said is “as someone who struggles at becoming an absolute top tier sweat lord”. Are you that teenager who feels slighted because mommy and daddy got you a brand new Lexus and not a BMW. So sorry, everyone feels your pain man. Please every show your support for this poor lil guy, he had to struggle so hard to get his flawless card.
-
Same with Bottomless Grief. These perks are just trash
-
It should work similar to the Aeon or Rat king exotics. You get a boost to weapon stats when near your teammates. You gain an increase or bonus for each guardian down.
-
The only times Celerity is useful: Strikes, Elimination, Survival, Showdown (Match Point), Trials of Osiris. And only active when your the last guardian standing. It's an extremely situational perk and I agree it should be intrinsic at least to the Adepts On that same note, Bottomless Grief should also be an intrinsic to the Adept Nightfall weapons since it's pretty much PvE Celerity
-
But that would make the trials guns bs in standard elimination
-
Could say the same about bottomless grief. Imagine getting both perks on a gun if that’s even possible in future lol.
-
5 RepliesOn non adept versions of weapons it should take up a perk slot, adept versions should definitely have celerity be intrinsic. I say for Trials, Celerity is intrinsic and for Nightfalls, Bottomless Grief is intrinsic.
-
1 Replyyou struggle in trials and went flawless?
-
1 ReplyI hate the way it gets stuck between your teeth.
-
1 ReplyWhat is that perk? Maybe I missed something I just skimmed through your post.
-
Agree with you bro, celerity should be intrinsic on adepts like last resort in D1 adept weapons.
-
Agreed. It should be intrinsic because it really is a waste of a perk and just pollutes the perk pool unnecessarily. Celerity is point blank useless in 80% of content unless your friends are floormats I feel the same about bottomless grief on the palindrome, shadow price and swarm. Realistically if you're last guardian standing in a grandmaster (which shouldn't happen because alot of scenarios basically result in a wipe if one person dies). Shooting a primary gun isn't the smartest move against enemies who are 25+ Both celerity and Bottomgrief are dogshit perks honestly. But its okay. Bungie are listening
-
2 RepliesAdept versions of trials guns should come with celery intrinsicly and adept nightfall guns should come with bottomless beef intrinsicly
-
they should copy how the trials D1 adept weapons work (built in like how last resort and snapshot was back then)
