Why?
Because with your most advanced character being 1192, you haven't PLAYED enough of the game to GET to the parts that offer those things.
If you're complaint were one that you had quickly run out of things to do or things to chase....then that would have been a **somewhat** legitimate argument. If you had kept current with the game, then Sunsetting would have been a more compelling argument.
But you basically stopped playing . Showed up to basically play the campaign...and then took two months off again...and then show up complaining that there is nothing to do and nothing to chase and its the game's fault.
No.
You simply don't like the game any more. Which is fine. This kind of game isn't for everyone. It requires a level of grinding and a level of repetition that not everyone is going to enjoy. Doesn't mean its a bad game. Just means its a game that isn't suited to your tastes.

Back at it again, better than ever telling people about what they don't know about themselves, revealing their inner desires Dr. KG 😂🤣
-
Nope. Just need to know how to read the players game history. Seriously not rocket science.
-
Oh yeah Reading the players history and making it up as you go along is your signature move, isn't it? But hey, I got no dog in this fight, so please go ahead and have fun trolling 😂

Wake me when you’re done. I’ve had enough middle school edginess for one day.

If he had a lot of playtime you’d argue he got his money’s worth. With little you argue inexperience. Some things never change.

Red Herring. One has nothing to do with the other. I'm calling the OPs level of play into question for two reasons. 1. He complains about things being absent from the game THAT ARE ACTUALLY IN THE GAME. But they are END-GAME activities...and he hasn't progressed any of his characters far enough to participate in them. So he's not in a position to legitimately criticize their "absence". 2. The OPs post is a bit of a racket. IOW, a topic designed to draw attention away from the real issue. He's complaiing about things not being in teh game....that are actually in the game. He's complaining about attributes of the game, that are present in every loot game in greater or lesser degree. He's complaining about the current DLC, even though he quit playing the game back in the SUMMER...and hasn't progressed any characters beyond where you would be at the end of the campaign. So the real issue here is that he simply doesn't LIKE the game anymore. Which is fine. People change...and taste change. But this need to trash talk something on your way out simply because you don't like it anymore is kind of uncalled for.

how much does bungie pay you? you cant have an opinion this bad.
-
Nothing. And you’re entitled to your opinion. The level of self-absorption....
-
Why are you so upset about people wanting more from bungie? There is zero reason to play the game at this point.. wouldnt you like more to do or better things to do? what do you get for brown nosing these guys? People like you defending them gives them zero reason to improve.
-
Because the way that people go about it is the reason why this place is all-but-ignored by the CMs and by Bungie. Because the way that people go about it actually gives us LESS influence on the game and what Bungie does, than acting in a reasonable and respectful manner would. Because my goal is to actually IMPROVE the game for the community as a whole. Not simply take a piece out of Bungie's hide for not giving me what I personally want. But this place operates too much like a combination fo the middle-school playground and the prison rec yard to see that what its doing is self-defeating.
-
When the community has been ignored for so many years people are bound to get angry. Bungie have such a good thing with destiny and they are just driving it into the ground . People see the potential and it’s just getting wasted. That’s my opinion anyway..

Edited by TheArtist: 2/3/2021 12:35:51 PM
When the community has been ignored for so many years people are bound to get angry.
Yep.....and how the community handles that anger only validates the reason why they were being ignored in the first place. That's why its a self-defeating strategy.
Bungie have such a good thing with destiny and they are just driving it into the ground .
Personal opinion and personal preference. Which is a big part of the problem here. People (as a group here) are so entitled and self-absorbed that they state their opinions as if they carried the force of fact, and so anyone who disagrees with them is bad, stupid or crazy. Instead of someone who simply experiences the game differently, and wants something different from the experience of playing it than you do.
People see the potential and it’s just getting wasted.
Or they see Bungie finally moving towards realizing that potential for the first time...but having to have to go through a painful period of redesigning this game on the fly. Because this game was mismanaged for years, and was designed with many necessary features MISSING. Which now have to be added. Like Sunsetting.
-
are......are you actually -blam!-ing kidding me right now? you CANNOT be this god damn delusional. "but having to have to go through a painful period of redesigning this game on the fly" WE ARE SEVEN YEARS INTO THIS FRANCHISE AT THIS POINT!!! How do they STILL not understand the identity they want for this game yet? 7 years in we shouldnt be at the "Redesigning or figuring out the games identity" stage we should be at the refinement and innocation phase of this franchise, not deciding if we want X, or Y or Z to be the main feature, Bungie needs to stop trying to reinvent the wheel and work on fixing matters that actually help the game, " and was designed with many necessary features MISSING. Which now have to be added. Like Sunsetting." except Sunsetting was missing for one reason it was a unnessary feature, theres a reason no other games that are successful, implement such crap like sunsetting, they actually innovate and imrpove on their Loot that makes players want to go out and get and use the new loot, Massive working on Division 2 has this figured out, im constantly trying new builds and loot as their added because the Loot is actually good and warrent using, therefor sunsetting is not needed. as usual KellyGreen, you continue to Amaze this community at just how Ignorant on gaming you really are.

Kelly do you even play the game? Your highest character is 1265. So let’s not act like your level is much better. Why does it matter what his power level this season is? The split happened a long time ago and it doesn’t take making it to max rank to figure out if the content is lacking.

Edited by TheArtist: 2/3/2021 12:37:30 PM
Kelly do you even play the game? Your highest character is 1265. So let’s not act like your level is much better.
Yes...and with my skill level after having played this game for almost 4000 hours....I'm high enough level to play any content in the game that I wish. Which is why I know that the things that the OP is complaining about NOT being in the game, are actually IN FACT in the game. Fact is that I'm taking a break from the game, because I've done everything in it for this Season that I want to do. When I get to that point----I PUT THE GAME DOWN AND GO DO SOMETHING ELSE. Whcih is why I've been able to play this game a thousand hours a year WITHOUT BURNING OUT....and turning on the game and attacking it. Because I'm holding it responsible for my "bad feelings".
Why does it matter what his power level this season is?
Because power level in this game acts as a way to gate access to content. The point is that the things the OP is complaining about NOT being in the game, ARE IN THEM GAME> He's just not high enough level (and hasn't played enough of this expansion) to actually engage with that content. So what he is doing is not an accurate or a fair criticism.
-
Additionally, 4000 hours of commenting on the forums doesn’t mean you have played 4000 hours. If you have 4000 hours played idk what you are doing with your time. Looking at your history it seems like you can’t hit anything.
-
Lol. If you say so, troll.
-
I know you have replied to a ton of this tread, but your response is inaccurate here. I will agree that normally power level shows if you have engaged with the content enough. But to say that because his power level is so low that he hasn’t figure out that all of his points are wrong is not correct. Most of his points are right. And this is coming from someone with better stats (elo, raids, strikes, power, time played) than you.
-
Always look forward to your posts. So nice to see a consistent voice of reason around here.
-
His posts are generally awful though? How can you sit here with a straight face and tell anyone that the game is going in the right direction?
-
Thanks. Its nice to hear from someone else who is willing to be reasonable......
-
I hear ya.
