I was disappointed that Time Worn Spire didn’t make a return in Iron Banner. I think it’s the only weapon to not get reprised.

1 ReplyWe're losing 2 Linear Fusion Rifles next season as well, and one of them being the best goddamn one we've ever seen. Line in the Sand with Rapid Hit/Firing Line has so much potential... and it's never going to see the light of relevance or being a meta weapon because of the lack of substantial sandbox changes and sunsetting. Actually upsetting.

I miss this archetype so much. Horrors least and darkest before were my favorite pulse. I suspect bungie will keep the fast firing one removed, and don't want to reintroduce them (but let's see what happen).

15 RepliesI'm sure they already know what gaps need filling and will do so with the new weapons being added next season. It's going to take a while for them to fix this sunsetting problem so we just have to wait.

4 RepliesThis. I argued against sunsetting for exactly this reason, saw it coming a mile away. People said that the loot pool would become saturated again but compare how much they sunsetted right from the start. Then how many weapons they add each season and how many that are also going to be sunsetted at the start of each season. The loot pool is going to remain this desaturated because right now, there are about 100 currently level advantaged weapons. Before we had greater than/equal to 250. Next season they will add around 20-23, based on previous trends, and then sunset about just as many from 4 seasons ago. Which leaves us back to around 100.

This is the most notable example but we are also missing lightweight and aggressive frame swords (which used to be the Hunter and Titan exclusives respectively) and 100 RPM Heavy grenade launchers, probably among other things but I’m too lazy to check all of the weapons. It’s reasonable that some weapon types fade in to obscurity like the ones I’ve listed above but 540 RPM pulses? Really?

13 RepliesI really don't think there absolutely [i]needs[/i] to be one of every possible archetype in the weapon pool. There are other archetypes that are available, and if you really need to use a 540 then there's a blue kinetic one.
