well sunsetting is literally worse your shit expires in less than 12 months, if u get the god roll 2 months before the weapon was out even though you only download the game today that's the expire time for u.
just an opinion, not trying to change anything, bungo get what we want and there's not a single thing we can do after this studio left a company that actually need to pretend to care about their players
-
4 RepliesAgreed .. i sometime just turn D2 getting to character choosing screen holding for a moment, exiting game go find something else. just no motivation no point. is Bungie assuming we're all in clans?! For solo players Game is dead now! Eat that bread bungee.

2 Replies"NeW To MmOs ArE YoU" Bruuuuuh the fanboys already here with a new excuse for Bungo .
-
62 RepliesAnd they are concerned that we will stop using weapons well before they expire LOL. They should be more worried that in a game of loot we no longer value the loot at all.
-
1 ReplyIt sucks but it all backfires cause I delete all weapons that doesn't say 1410 I'll only use those cause we have them a bit longer. I saved all my resources because it's a waste to upgrade anything now. It's all temporary weapons use them and delete them no need to save anything in vault now days. So they all trying to control what we use and how we play eventually no one will care. Every new season everyone just looks silly anyway wearing mix matching and using blues just to gain light which is dumb. Ornaments is future or them give u ugly armor sets and sell you ornaments so you can look better . It's all cash grab stunts now days. But hey it still best game going right
-
You're wrong there buddy. Stuff doesn't expire in the mobile games
-
1 ReplyThe entire franchise is probably going to end in about 2 years anyway. Beyond Light was their big chance to revitalize the game and they did pretty much the bare minimum, as usual. I doubt they're going to bring back the player base much at this point. So, might as well just let people be happy in the time remaining and let us have our stuff.

4 RepliesSunset my gear, sunset my business.
-
3 RepliesThe only way to save this game is to scrap sunsetting altogether. Then and only then will myself and many others return to D2.
-
4 RepliesEdited by Rebellis: 12/26/2020 12:38:18 AMI have food in my fridge with a longer expiration date. lol
-
What makes it worse is still getting sunset gear.
-
Well this is a garbage mobile game soooo......
-
Dredgen Yor quit using his rose because it was Sunset. The one we had was a reissue, but it was Sunset too
-
You say that as if you won't get any gear that's as good as or better than what you're using now within said 12 months 😂😂
-
maxqazwsxedc You make some valid points and I agree that ever verse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

16 RepliesEveryone saying every mmo does that. Ok then please name each 4 mmo games does that after a dlc.. I played borderlands, division, diablo, Elder scrolls online, well non of these games your staff go bad, its just you get different and unique new gear with dlc, you can take that old good rifle and have fun...

Edited by Jonny_ Reggae: 12/25/2020 8:41:23 PMI can't believe this is still an issue, they ain't going to u turn on the decision,

3 RepliesFunny thing about sun setting is that conceptually it makes sense for clearing up the extra content no one cared about. But making it seasonal just makes fashion feel redundant and means any fun weapons combo you get won’t matter long term. Like warmind cells and seraph weapons or maybe more recent stuff? Well forget about those! Enjoy the new guns which inevitably will also go away!

3 RepliesBungie has killed the motivation to grind. Before sunsetting, it took me up to 6 months or more to get some god rolls, and the feeling was great - finally got it! With sunsetting it is absurd to grind, with rng, which I believe is rigged, is like going in circles. Grinding for something that will be sunsetted or nerfed maybe the next day ... Have gotten over 20 Heritage, not one with a half decent roll ... Like maybe 30 exotic Aon arm, still now have never gotten a 2.0 stompees ... etc ... Before, rng, well that was ok, keep trying, eventually you will get it, but now, is just totally discouraging. Armour is worse, harder to get good stats. 59 or 60 are not high stats. If the life span of weapons and armour is so short, then rng for good rolls and stats should be increased. It’s a game, which is supposed to be fun and make us feel good. But ...

2 RepliesIt wouldn't bother me so much if there were a more generous RNG. In Borderlands your gear can become obsolete as you level up due to no infusion. However, you get showered (in some cases literally) in loot. For example, my favorite machine gun for the longest time was the Hammerhead. It has high caliber rounds, QuickDraw and rampage. I only recently got the machine gun from the raid to drop. Accurized rounds, zen moment and unrelenting. Decent perks but nowhere as nice as the nearly godroll my Hammerhead had. I don't mind grinding, I've done it in Borderlands and other games. There's just longer gaps in quality drops in D2. Once again, it's a balance issue. Too many high quality drops too often would make it all trivial.

Well still going to play a little but they sure sunset my time investment into this game. I am not getting excited for any armor or weapon anymore, goodjob Bungo.
-
Sunsetting is awful. I’m not regrinding my armor or weapons for that matter. Once they expire i’m just gonna move onto something else
-
I am sick of the disrespect Sunsetting is the biggest BS ever . There is no point of chasing and getting the weapons and armors and masterwork them because everything you get they will take away from you . No point of playing the game at all if everything is so irrelevant . And not to mention that you need to have the right point distribution on your armor set to avoid having 8 or 9 in your stats but on top of that you might need some extra pieces of armor to make mod builds and those pieces must be with propper stats and distribution as well . When you gather all you need to play properly guess what ... it's gonna be sunsetting time . Now get $h!t on and start over . Now there is no point spending resources to masterwork garbage weapons that will be taken away eventually . Its a strat by them .If they make you grind more for resources they artificially extending the play time without making actual content . The mindless XP grind that has been deleted at every end of a season is the other thing by which they try to extend it . Thx but no more . Sunset my gear sunset my business !

I’m kind of torn on this one. I get where you’re coming from. On the other hand, the “expiration date” does not apply activities outside of Europa and its activities, Nightfalls, Nightmare Hunts(for some reason) Wrathborn Hunts, Legend/Master Lost Sectors, and endgame PvP. Even Prophecy still has a 1050 recommended which means you can bring anything you want in there no matter the power cap. I can’t count a weapon as expired unless it’s usefulness is gone in all aspects of the game.
-
Sunsetting would have worked if Bungie wouldn't have screwed it up. Bungie outright said "Sunsetting would give them the opportunity to create more powerful weapons like Recluse." Ok, so where are these pinnacle level weapons? The Adept Trials weapons aren't it and the raid aren't even close.
-
I knew that this was going to happen. That introducing Sunsetting to Destiny ( on this scale, and the way they did it. Because Sunsetting has been in Destiny before, but never this severe ) was going to make the ”THE GRIND” seem pointless. Bungie is essentially telling the playerbase that they are throwing all the time, and effort, straight into a black hole.

3 RepliesImagine how stale the game would be if you used the same weapons after a year of playing consistently... much less 3 years like some of the loot people complain about not being able to use now. Jiminy Christmas the sunsetting complainers🤦♂️
