Luke, no one wants to live in your "Luke Fantasyland". Sorry, not sorry. If you sunset ANY supers, Destiny 2 will die. End of story.
Edit: Holy shit this blew up. Thank you for the support. @El Delicioso your idea sounds so much better than Luke's.

2 RepliesDude, who actually uses nova warp? Like, ppl say “don’t do this” but no one uses nova warp. I bring up this super cuz this one will get hit first if this happens
-
I mean wasn’t it a talk about deepining supers we loved and putting unused ones away for an undetermined amount of time?. Nova warp is in a weird spot where it’s been underwhelming or overpowered. Maybe a rework and reimplementation isn’t a bad thing because I doubt they’d just delete it without any future intentions. I can count on 2 fingers how many times I can recall using nova warp, when it came out and a few months ago because I didn’t believe how dogshit it was without smart use of corners like yeah those who love it will feel bad but if it comes back in a better state maybe more people will love it

I have a lot of issues as a customer with Bungie and the game. But I’ve never quit playing or stated would. If they start taking away super and/or abilities, I am done. Bungie will no longer have my patronage. Not another penny. They should be adding to our classes, supers, abilities, etc. Luke has to live in the smallest of bubbles. His decisions have constantly hurt the game, and his company’s reputation with paying customers.
Luke, no one wants to live in your "Luke Fantasyland". Sorry, not sorry. If you sunset ANY supers, Destiny 2 will die. End of story.
Not the first time they have done this? You don’t see Blade Dancer or self-res warlock anymore. Sun setting is a farce and a scam! It is a lazy way to prey on you community. One more way to repackage crap they have already put out....just like “seasons” How about sun setting weapons we have master-worked and then giving us the same weapon to do over? The really funny part was sun setting the good legendary weapons we had LONG quests for......aka Not Forgotten/Randy’s and leaving the crap ones like the bs linear fusion rifle......It’s total BS!
-
1 ReplyWhy do you people even play this game anymore???? What more does management need to do to further prove that they are in fact NOT listening? People need to accept Bungie for what they are now. A c level developer who does not care about their customers or respect their time!!!
-
I remember when Luke made game decisions on what his nieces said. And that went awesome... So what could possibly go wrong in Luke Fantasyland?!?!?
-
1 ReplyI found it very arrogant and telling of him when he said Luke's fantasy land. As opposed to say "ideally we'd like to try or we think players might ". Dude is full of himself and clearly doesn't give a flip what players or the community wants. In the end, it's their game but you'd think if you're servicing a community of players, you'd give them what they want and not what you feel you want as you are not paying for the service, they are. I digress, it seems like the disappointment of this game continues to get worst and worst as time goes on or as he still has creative control.

7 RepliesAs I said somewhere else on this forum. We all hate him and what he's doing to this game. But, to Bungie's CEO's and investors he's bringing 300 million dollars in revenue annually, and to them he's a huge success. Nothing we say will ever matter because at the highest level, he's the best thing ever to happen to Bungie. It's sad, but it's true. The only solution is to "go woke, go broke". Money is the only thing that talks, and the only thing that will trigger change. So unless everyone stops buying expansions, silver and season passes, things will only get worse. But, that won't happen because this forum, no matter how overwhelmingly negative the comments are, make up less than 5% of the playerbase and as such can be ignored with no effect to Bungie. The other 95% who play and spend are oblivious. It's over guys. We lost. If you've had enough of Luke Smith and what he is doing, then the best thing to do is to leave and find something else to play. This isn't the defending Bungie comment of "go play something else", this is a sad and crushing reality of the situation we're in comment.

1 ReplyI’m all for sun setting the broken OP panic supers on the Hunter class. That’s the only way they get kills in this game When is the last time you died by a weapon when going against a hunter?
-
What the hell is he even talking about a “Luke fantasyland” he acts like this game is his creation he’s not even the creator of the franchise.
-
I mean let’s be honest here. They don’t have enough content to keep us interested. This new DLC already feels empty. The apologists will be the only ones left.
-
I'm so sure sunsetting Nova Warp would kill Destiny 2 lol
-
They've already sunset nova warp
-
4 RepliesI think someone has a crush on Luke Smith. So cute
-
28 RepliesDestiny 2 will die will it? This will kill Destiny 2? Like division did? Like anthem did? Like borderlands 3 did? Like countless other games did according to people on here? It wouldn't kill the game. You might not like the idea is it, but it most definitely would not kill the game.

1 ReplyDid I miss something? I haven't seen anything about supers being sunset
-
I don't think anyone would care if Nova Warp was sunset and turned into Shatter or Lance Nova Bomb from Destiny 1.
-
I only use stasis for crucible I use the light supers for everything else including end game content this news sucks

2 RepliesEdited by Auronio: 12/17/2020 6:59:53 PMI don't even think the idea is inconsequential. Let's be real. If they had not defected from Activision we would now have Destiny 3. Destiny 3 = sunset weapons (all including Exotics) and armour (all including Exotics) from D2. = sunset planets from D2. = sunset classes/supers from D2. = sunset characters/Guardians from D2. We are now getting the same, just in homoeopathic doses. Alternative view Sunset weapons. Sunset armour. Sunset planets. Sunset supers. Sunset characters. Sunset Destiny. Ready for new franchise. Have fun. And Merry Christmas! P.S. Don't let your state of mind be ruined by a game.
-
2 RepliesWell, maybe Bungie has to do it due to publishing rights. Maybe everything developed with Activision has to be removed from the game. Most probably we will have new supers just like the current one's but with a different game design. Anyway, it sucks big time !!
-
Nothing’s going to happen for years.

lol the list of things that will kill Destiny that has come to pass keeps getting longer and longer. Sit down before you hurt yourself. That being said, what he’s proposing is a bad idea for Destiny 2. If they’d just make a Destiny 3 with some story reason it would make more sense. Though since they already plaid that card at the start of D2, I’m not sure it’s a good idea to say “oh no, you lost all your Supers and have to regain your abilities” all over again just to create the class diversity they want. Heck, the start of D2 was the place to do it. But then they went and made Ward of Dawn, Luke’s IP-defining super for the Titans absolutely worthless in every game mode, and gave people MORE roaming Supers. D1 day 1 I was all for the idea of the three classes being vastly different from each other. To the point they even have different health and damage resistance values. Like many RPGs with class systems. But that’s not where Bungie went. The void class Supers was the closest Destiny came, but that meant 90%+ of the game your class choose felt cosmetic. 7 years later and the ship has sailed on actual classes. The Supers feel like they could be interchangeable. In PVP it’s all about the most lethal roaming super. And in PVE it’s all about which ever super can do the most boss DPS. You don’t even see survivability Supers like Ward of Dawn and We’ll of Radiance until you’re doing harder endgame content, and usually just for boss DPS. Since debuffs don’t stack any more this leaves Hunters with pretty much just Celestial Golden Gun. Raids are so mechanics heavy where everyone has to keep moving that things like Well and Ward are useless until you get to a DPS phase, as are roaming Supers for even general ad clear, because you need to be activating plates, and passing things, moving around, because they don’t want Raid encounters where somebody can be told “stand here and kill things”. Weapons. Weapons have become the most important part of any activity. The class/subclass is even less important than the mods. To be like “Luke’s Fantasy Land” would take a complete overhaul of Destiny 2, from the ground up. For this reason I think we’re past the point of removing Supers being of any benefit.
