If you are sun setting armour you need to make it cheaper to masterwork
Or refund more materials when you dismantle your master worked gear.
I think sun setting armour is bs.

They are good for a year, i think it's fine. A year is plenty of time to save up materials for my next set of armor, when these get sunset

setting armor makes zero sense Sensetting RAID armor? And any other endgame armor? Makes even LESS sense.

1 ReplyThis game is so easy lol there’s no point in even master working your armor. Only thing I could think of that could warrant masterworked armor is day 1 raid completion. Literally 1 day out of the whole year 😂

That way you can repair them or put two together instead of losing it completely. The armour material economy is currently broken.

1 ReplyI think that we should get the full cost back for dismantling armor. I didn't sit there and bust my ass for those mats, especially Ascendant Shards, to just lose them when I'm forced to dismantle them.

I find it more annoying that in addition to sunsetting out gear, they force us to use new gear for triumphs.

Erase the stats on armour then make more mods to support diverse play styles go wild on the mods then all we need to masterwork is weapons

Sun setting armour is rubbish - doesn't seem any point to it other than the following: Bungie wants your armour to sunset so you don't spend two years (or however long you love that set for) in the same set of armour, also not all amour can use newer ornaments and Bungie wants you to spend your money on those! What's your opinion on that? I have one main set of armour that I use but to be honest I've had the same items on for the past few seasons! I've certainly had the same Exotic armour piece on for like two years haha. Armour should be a universal things and the Mods you use be the only thing that changes - but if you're going purely on the look of certain armour pieces then hopefully the 'Transmog' feature next season (maybe/maybe not) will help with that too.

Orrr how about this, don’t sunset it because it doesn’t affect meta and sandbox.... unlike weapons do. Not that I like the idea of sunset weapons either. But armor makes zero sense

3 RepliesWell, what you would like and what is actually going to stay the way it is are 2 different things. Tbh, the whole masterwork cost shouldn't even be a thing but it was Bungie's way of saying, look we gave you something to do since we haven't really made any content that is replayable content. I think it pretty dumb that they consider grind "content".

I don't think so. My opinion is if u plan u get time to get the mats back casually. I just finished the build I started last season cause I wasted mats on a set for my titan, switched scrapping all of it, which was a full set of masterworked armor and exotic, I switched to warlock and just needed two more golf balls. But my armor last for I think two or three more seasons, all from arrivals, so now I just run the thing on my ghost to get prisms in cruicable and I slowly work back to enough for another set so when my armor is obsolete then I just jump to the next set for four seasons and repeat.

The sunset armor should return everything put into masterworking it when dismantled I agree. Or make a faster way to get enhancement shards like adding them as a drop in the hard mode lost sectors

2 RepliesIt’s already cheap af just play some trials or do some nightfalls. I do think the materials should drop from raids crucible and gambit just more rare.

This is how they are planning to have seasonal mods expire. Hopefully they come up with a better system.
