Shotguns shouldn't be a counter to supers

Otherwise let us have them every 45 seconds like nades and class abilities. Supers should inspire fear, you shouldn't be able to camp a doorway, tank the super, and shotgun them to death. That's not a super, that's a minor.

  • No. This game needs less win buttons. Nothing is more obnoxious than the stage of every match where the 0.4s all start mindlessly sprinting at you after pressing their win button. Supers are the strongest tool in PvP. If you use it poorly that’s on you. Supers are too strong as it is

        Aggressive frame shottie blast + melee isn't enough to kill the regular damage resistance supers. If someone has time to do even more than that right next to a super the supering guy isn't doing a very good job. I don't see the claimed counter. Outplays are always possible, but those require the human factor.

        • If you are getting shotguns out of a super you are just terrible at the game. I don't know how else to put it, that's just how it is. Supers have damage resistance so high that you can't even shotgun melee them from full health at point blank, they have projectiles and melee attacks with enourmous hitboxes, and they have movement speed that is fast, erratic, unpredictable, and make them hard to aim at. To kill a roaming super by yourself you have to shoot them two or three times with a hand cannon and then shotgun melee them from point blank. Dawnblade is so fast and is usually in the air so this is basically not possible unless you go into a confined space with a flying projectile super which is YOUR fault. Spectral has extremely erratic movement and the lunge is 3x that of shotgun range and aims for you. Arcstrider pretty much the same. Striker has speed, duration, another insane auto aim lunge, AND an aoe attack if that auto aim lunge doesnt do it all for you. Sentinel has an auto aim lunge and a projectile attack. Sunbreaker is all projectiles so no reason someone should be getting close enough to you. Golden gun is a glass cannon and if you are letting people get close enough to you again you are at fault. The stasis supers freeze you so, again, not possible for people to get close. I don't mean to sound all "git gud" but people complaining about dying in their supers is very annoying and always has been, since d1 when people complained about getting sniped out of them. Supers are already free kill buttons, any easier to use and they would have to be borderline invincible. If someone is killing you out of a super, no matter how (except freeze/shatterdash/slide which is dumb), they deserve it and you made a mistake.

            • Supers are super, but they aren’t invincible. If you let someone with a shotgun get that close to you it’s kinda your fault that he killed you

              • Unless you’re a golden gun, you shouldn’t be getting shot down by a shotgun. That’s just ridiculous to me. How do you even let that happen? Lol
