A simple dwarf craftsman, just finishing up his days work, takes interest in the man as he enters the gates and decides to follow him. The dwarf wears a simple tunic and sandals as well as the sweat and grime of a long days toil. His hair is a long and wavy, naturally blond but quickly greying. Unlike most dwarfs he has no beard, but instead a rather gigantic and bushy goatee. As the rider approaches he decides to follow him, out of curiosity and convince because the rider happens to be going in the same direction of the dwarfs favorite tavern.
ooh, one with audacity
The ranger heads into the city, and just as you expected, stops at your favorite tavern. He leashes his horse outside, and heads in.
-
The dwarf will follow and head to the bar to order a mead and a meal, then look around to see how crowded the bar is and where the strange figure decided to sit.

Do ye mind If I sit here, the barstools nay be small enough for me legs to touch the ground.” While that may not be entirely true the dwarf is a bit small, even by dwarven standards.
-
The stranger nods, and takes a sip of his mead. “Thank you.”
-
The dwarf sits down, setting down his plate and taking a sip of his mead. “So, if ye don’t mind me askin’, are ye from around these parts or do ye come from farther away lands?”
-
“I’m not sure where it is in relation to this place.”
-
“Didn’t ye just ride from wherever ye came from through? Or did ye take a carriage or some fancy automobile part of the way?”
-
“I don’t know. I believe I was thrown here by some greater power.” They finish their mead, and set the tankard down.
-
“Thrown here by a greater power? I can’t say I’ve heard that one before! Do ye at least have any kith or kin in the area?”
-
“No.”

Edited by ImaDrizzit: 11/29/2020 4:24:06 PM“I see. Well what are ye thinkin’ O’ doing now if ye can’t return home? Do ye need a job of some kind, or were ye some sort of grand adventurer before this?”
-
“I don’t know what I’ll be doing here. I don’t even know what here is.”
-
“Then allow me to Introduce the place then. We are in the grand O’ city of Offtopic, which is an interesting name but it’s a rather interesting place. Ye can find almost anything one would want in this city, if ye wish for some place to be there it probably is. Now it ain’t without its dangers thought. Whilst powerful figures and some heroes defend the place, monsters attack quite often, bringing all sorts O’ trouble for common folk like meself.”
-
“Interesting.”
-
“Aye, tis an interestin place to live, quite a beautiful place at that. although with the constant danger and lack O’ resources elsewhere, travel is more trouble then it worth. So where do ye come from?”
-
“Somewhere called Middle-Earth. At least that’s what the inhabitants called it.”
-
Edited by ImaDrizzit: 11/29/2020 4:42:34 PM“Hmm, don’t believe I’ve heard of it. Is it much different from this place?”
-
“Very different in fact.”
-
“Aye, how so? It’s fairly nice here but I’d rather not be in such a urban center.”
-
“Much less...technology.”
-
“That ain’t really a bad thing, I’d rather work without it anyways.”
-
“I agree.”

Edited by ImaDrizzit: 11/29/2020 4:54:04 PM“So, what did ye do before this, when you were in middle earth? Horse tamer, soldiers? Or did ye have a much more grand occupation?”
-
“I was a Ranger once. In the wilds of Beleriland.”
