C-mon Bungie. Put some good non-exotic machine guns back in the game. Jeeeeesh! Who was the brainiac that thought taking all of them out, was a good idea?

Seventh seraph saw can now drop.

20 RepliesEat shit. Here's 15 more grenade launchers. Your welcome, Brungie

Bungie: You said Handcannons? Cause I heard handcannons

LMReeeeeeeeeee

12 RepliesEdited by Bush's Baked Beans: 11/18/2020 6:18:31 PMMaybe if bungie didn't spend so much time making hand cannons that no one uses Go into collections and look at the amount of hand cannons compared to any other weapon. It's embarrassing Literally every raid has a hand cannon, but no raids have an smh or sidearm

18 Repliesboooohooooo I didn't listen to bungie and didn't believe they woudl sunset stuff and now I have to use and exotic or I have to grind for a new weapons because I wasn't smart enough to heed the warnings and farm for a replacement weapon for my hammerhead etc. You all sound like a bunch of crying babies in a hospital nursery. Suck it up buttercup and go find a new roll on a new machine gun.

6 RepliesWhat I find especially odd is that there aren't even any rare (i.e. blue) machine guns in the game. There's rare rocket launchers, swords, grenade launchers, even a rare linear fusion rifle, but not a single rare machine gun in the game. Like don't get me wrong, I get that the point of your post is to ask for legendary machine guns and I don't want to detract from that focus, I just find it odd, especially from a new player experience perspective, that there isn't even a rare machine gun that could be used to complete a bounty. It's not like developing a new machine gun seems any more difficult than developing a new any-other-archetype-of-weapon, and it doesn't need to be too flashy or good since it's a rare, and it's not like they have to develop a bunch, just one.

TWAB today said they’ll bring back the Seraph machine gun at least.

3 RepliesEdited by CaptBogdan: 11/18/2020 12:34:27 PMFirst I thought the maniacs wanted to retire them, but there is one they put in the game. It's not very attractive, rapid firing thing, but there is. And perks are nice. However popping all my Hammerhead collection was a terrible thing to do.

3 RepliesIt feels worse when you get the Bounty that needs you to get machine gun kills. There is one machine gun obtainable and some people might not even have access to that method.
-
17 RepliesAlso a legendary trace rifle would be great too...

1 ReplyMachine guns were never that strong that it require a near sunset for all of them except Seraph Saw :l

1 ReplyEdited by GhostKing108: 11/19/2020 2:30:56 AMHonestly I can't be the only thinking those people are smoking some unknown shit considering how bizarre their decisions have been lately. Like how in the hell do you, as a "group" think among yourselves that removing an entire weapon category for your sequel make any sense. Then proceed to bring them back but in such a limited amount that linear fusion rifles were almost identical in count. And, since Bungie reuses alot of content to the point that they had to set up a vault leaves me surprised that they haven't just imported all or some of the D1 Machine guns already and label them "New Expansion Weapons". Although if they haven't got their shit together by then they'll probably just put it Witch Queen or Lightfall.

Honestly, I think they put so little thought into the sunsetting process that they didn’t even consider what weapons were being made obsolete in comparison to what new weapons they should release. Not just lmgs, the same problem exists for elemental handguns and autos, kinetic snipers, amongst other. It’s an absolute shambles. Was going through my vault earlier to put together a loadout to efficiently complete gunsmith and vanguard bounties in the strike playlist. My options were severely limited to say the least. Look, I was never joyful about the prospect of sunsetting. Since they announced it though I always begrudgingly accepted that it’s a necessary evil in any looter game once it reaches a certain age. I was optimistic that bungie would be able to pull it off effectively. Talk about foolish optimism. Bungie had more than enough time since they decided on sunsetting to put together a big enough loot pool to compensate for the massive volume of gear being made obsolete. They didn’t even come close. Then to add salt to the wound, they went ahead and didn’t even bother to update gear drops from parts of the game that they consciously decided to not vault. That part really stings. Remove half of the activities in the game, and only have half of the remainder drop relevant level gear. -blam!-ing bravo

4 Repliesi remember a d1 machinegun called against all odds, what a beast. bring it back!
-
Even worse is for us fusion mains there is nothing . The one new fusion rifle is trash and has horizontal spread. It does not have nearly the multikill capabilities of regular recoil pattern fusions . There are barely any non sunset fusions.
-
How about removing sunsetting, and letting us actually use the stuff we grinded for?
-
I need something to replace my god-roll hammerhead that was sunset.
-
3 RepliesDid they buff machine guns? That 900rpn one from those hunts just melt bosses down in no time.
-
4 RepliesDon't worry, they'll change their mind and get rid of sunsetting and everything old will be made viable again. How do I know? I just went through my Vault a couple days ago and deleted roughly 250 items that were sunset. So because most all of it was stuff I can never get again it now makes perfect sense for Bungie to reverse their decision on sunsetting any day now lol...
-
Heck, I would even accept some dang or darn machine guns...
-
Just use 600 autos. Same thing!
-
I know right, some bounties require machine gun kills so I gotta use an exotic heavy and ignore the new or fun exotic primary or secondary weapons and pray for something new worth trying or wait up infuse the same shit from last season that was reissued from year 1 but previous to last season was capped and re-released but has been re-released yet again because sunsetting negates power creep?
-
how about some damn good game
-
There is one coming up with DSC. Same archetype as Hammerhead.

Edited by Meanmachine0690: 11/19/2020 4:35:30 AMBungie is a little slow in the head so they have a tendency to make some “questionable” decisions.
