They were caught using a camera in center field to record opposing team’s catcher signals to the pitcher. They would then use various audio queues to let the batter know which pitch was coming.

Don’t forget they also ruined the careers of upcoming pitchers with that scandal. Guys that had the chance to show themselves for their team getting rocked in 1-2 innings only for them to be sent down and never given another chance again. -blam!- the Astros.
