Did you increase anything at all? The entire Flashpoint on Nesses plus extra and 1 Cipher is my reward?
You didn't do enough.
3 world drop Cipers in 11 hours of activities since Tuesday's reset is not going to cut it.

Edited by dead fighter 3: 10/12/2020 7:09:26 AMTry Crucible. They drop non stop for me and I don't even care for the event or wear a mask. I got 17 ciphers in the span of an hour of playtime which your experience is about 30-60 minutes of PvE activitys. No clue if strikes drop alot as well.

So glad I opted out of Destiny for the last couple of weeks after playing it daily for this whole season. So, so so glad I did not waste my time on this event.

1 ReplyIt’s not just the crappy low drop rates of ciphers. The drop rates for the auto rifles are abysmal from the final chests as well. This event is bogus!

Thought I would give it a go..... What a joke, I've lost count of how many patrols and heroic pubilc events over the last 2 hours and got 2 Ciphers.

Ever since the buff to drop rate I've been grinding the nightfall and been getting 2 each nightfall in addition to the double rewards on master difficulty.

I played a bit of trials on Friday and got a cipher for each match. Regular crucible seemed to drop quite frequently also.

Remember the mysterious box of chocolate? Remember “choosing sides between drifter and Zavala”? Remember all the jokes Bungie pulled on the players? I honestly don’t understand how players never learn. Bungie would reward a nice wrapped piece of poop to wear on helmets for 100 chests opened and players would be complaining about other players going around with a-liquid dropping of their heads before them. This is absurd.

Just grab 2 others and throw Trials matches. Lost about 8 or so last night and got 2 ciphers every other match. If you're fast at throwing, each match is only gonna take about 1-3 minutes. So 2 ciphers every 6 or so minutes is 😎👌

I presume you closed and reopened the game. I was having the same problem until I closed Destiny and reopened it for the next session since then a huge increase. Three strikes 2 Ciphers, 2 heroic events Titan 1 cipher, 3 public Nessus events 1 cipher, 2 menagerie runs 1 cipher. I hope this helps, as you say pretty chronic at start of season.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 10/10/2020 5:02:53 AMAnd that’s the huge problem with RNG RNG has no place in events - when completing the tasks it should give you the cipher currency - no matter what it is (win/lose PvP matches/VStrikes/Gambit/Nightmare Hunts/PubEvents/Patrols/Raid sections It’s bad enough having RNG with the HF chests & then the over saturated loot pool & bloated perks on the WW/HS weapons
