Absolutely not, you being inept at something doesn't mean you get to segregate fellow players in casual 6vs6 that's only "crime" was improving. You want close, sweaty, competitive games? Comp is that way ->

Now that is interesting. I've gone from "average skill" to "inept". "fellow players in casual 6vs6 that's only "crime" was improving" Why is being placed into high skill brackets bad? Is that the punishment for the "crime" of being good? Is it somehow not fun to play against high skill players? Who would have thought? I must now completely rethink my premise.

  •
Why is being placed into high skill brackets bad?
Longer mm time Laggier games Nothing but meta Endless sweat in what are supposed to be relaxed playlists Having to try your most each and every game which burns players out fast - somethings that fine for 5500 comp or trials where it's the intention. Not thier direct opposite of laid back 6vs6
Is that the punishment for the "crime" of being good?
Under sbmm? Yes
Is it somehow not fun to play against high skill players? Who would have thought?
It is - so long as you arent SOLEY matching high skill, casual modes are about having everyone play each other with a mix so each game is varied and different. It's also fine to match your peers in the competitive modes which is the goal and indeed is what happens.
I must now completely rethink my premise.
You should, casual modes womt revolve around the bottom tier players who play pvp the least.

  • There is invariably a high skill player on one of the teams that blows the top off of any skill or KD distribution. Whether she's on your team or the other team is up to the forced 50% win loss ratio. If you think it's perfectly fun to play against sweats and casually loose, then why don't you do that all the time? It seems like you are saying that it's OK for less experienced players who are not as skilled as you to have terrible experiences in PVP all the time, but not you. Gee. How magnanimous. I want the option to play control with people who don't want to play with you. The game is about enjoying the experience. And if you make the game less fun for almost everyone else (who isn't in a top tier bracket), that system is broken. You want to walk in to a game and casually beat everyone and not really worry. I want to walk in to a game and have a fun, engaging, competitive match against people who are my skill level. It feels like one of us is insisting that they are set up to win all the time by playing against people who aren't as good.
I want the option to play control with people who don't want to play with you. The game is about enjoying the experience. They can run the sbmm modes or play under cbmm.
You want to walk in to a game and casually beat everyone and not really worry. • So many things. So many. I paid the same as anyone sle to play this game. More than most, I'll water in that I am not playing "free to play". I have just as much of an expectation for an engaging and enjoyable and accessible experience as you do. As anyone. And asking to be able to choose to play in casual SBMM or casual CBMM rather than to force everyone into one or the other is far from unreasonable. And if, when presented with option, most people choose SBMM, then most people are getting what they want. If a sweat doesn't want to play against OTHER sweats all the time, play CBMM and play against people who choose to play with sweats. If below average players, or even average players don't want to play with you because it is not remotely fun, because the sweats make the gaming experience miserable for everyone else, that is hardly "everyone else's fault." If no one wants to play against you, what's the quote? "That sounds like a 'You" problem." Destiny 2 isn't an E-Sports game. It never was. It's a RPG looter shooter with a fun PVP mode. It's meant to be engaging and enjoyable for everyone to sit down and casually play. If the user experience is horrid for people who solo queue into CBMM because they are being fed to the high skill players, that is neither engaging nor enjoyable nor does it entice people to ever return to PVP. Why do you want to force people to play against you instead of letting players choose their experience? Players, I will again point out, who have as much of a right to enjoy their experience as you do.

Go to it's intended modes. Not the opposite of them.
