[i]The Legionnaire dons his helmet, his sword and shield sheathed on his side. His tall scutum (Roman Legion shield) was in his left hand with a spear in his right. On his plate armor are blue and yellow markings and a lion sigil on his breastplate.[/i]

[spoiler]Chain 6[/spoiler] The demon stomps closer and raises his axe preparing to smash you, then stumbles and falls before you as a boulder hits the back of its head! Nala kicks over the last totem anyway and blue flames rise around the demon. A moment later, its body is gone and the giant is standing not far away, scratching its head, staring at there the demon was.

[i]Liam looks at the giant, sword in hand in case it is hostile, “Nala,” he says, “I’d hide if I were you.”[/i]

Nala takes cover behind a wagon as the giant approaches you, raising its club!

[i]Liam waits for the giant to strike first, as he brandishes his dagger and Sword[/i]

The club smashes beside you!

[i]Liam looks for an opening and if one is seen he strikes with his sword and dagger[/i]

The giant is big and slow, so it's not hard to lunge past its attack and slash at his legs. It swipes the tree towards you!

[i]Liam rolls under and attempts to drive his sword into the giant’s knee[/i]

You roll past the log and thrust your blade up into the giants knee! It falls over and moans in pain, then back hands you away!

The giant stands and starts to follow!

[i]Liam grabs hold of his spear and again waits for the giant to make his move[/i]

The giant stumbles towards you and raises his club with a roar and brings it down towards you!

[i]Liam dodges out of the way and throws his spear, aiming for the giant’s forehead[/i]

Your spear flies into the giants forehead and it staggers back, then falls! All falls silent, save the crackling fires.

[i]The Legionnaire cautiously walks up to what he assumes to be the now dead body of the giant, sword drawn, and cut off its head for good measure[/i]

It takes a few good swings to get through its fatty neck, but eventually the head comes off! Nala gives you a thumbs up, then asks, "So... I assume you're also here to get into that place?"

[i]The Legionnaire crouches and cleans his blade off, “You guessed correctly. Do you know how to get inside?”[/i]

"It only opens when the new moon rises, that's when its covered in shadow... so just a few days from now." [spoiler]A few days in game, atleast. In real life it'll be whenever I feel up to posting part two![/spoiler]

[i]”Well,” The Legionnaire starts looking through the tents for a bed, “I think I’ll take those few days to rest.”[/i][spoiler]awesome![/spoiler]

[spoiler]Chain 5[/spoiler] The woman catches her breath, then follows along with a big smile, "Well that was exciting! I'm Nala, my camp is further up the road. Normally we don't let in outsiders but I'll put in a good word with-" She is interrupted by a roar that echoes throughout the mountains and a pillar of blue flames rising from somewhere up ahead...

[i]”I think this takes priority over the camp,” Liam starts towards the flames, “oh, I’m Liam by the way”[/i]

"I think that's at the camp... oh no..." You both rush through the growing snowstorm and arrive to the camp, set up in the courtyard before the mansion. Several hide tents set ablaze and bodies scattered about. A large ritual circle centered around an old fountain. The mansion itself is a three story structure with tall gothic roof tops and spires, stained glass windows, and two great doors with glowing violet runes carved into it. And standing before the doors, a massive demon. Fifteen feet tall, with two horns curving out of a mane of blue flame. Its body covered in ice like armor, leathery wings stretching from its back, and a spiked tail swinging behind it. The demon drags a large great axe across an shimmering shield of magic before the mansion. "Well shit..." the woman quietly says.

[i]Knowing his spear and shied will be of little use against this foe, Liam drops them and draws his Eternal Steel sword[/i]

The demon hasn't noticed you yet. The woman has started sneaking to a large tent closer to the mansion, untouched by flames.
